Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 163.14/day in the week to Jul 25 → 4.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I hope they add chickens to this game soon, and then vikings will steal them sometimes.
The game is just fun and pleasing. It has creative so I could get adjusted to controls, mechanics and more so im ready for the main game and it's so fun. Already spent an actual day on it from waking up to going to bed. Easily 10/10 game for me.

Kingdoms and Castles is definitely my city builder of choice. It’s really easy to get into if you’re new to the genre because it’s so straightforward and quite basic, but I mean that in a good way. I hadn’t played it since 2020, so I had to get back to it this year because it has been updated so many times that I really felt like it was my first time playing it. It’s the kind of game you can get lost in for hours, no matter if you’re a casual or a hardcore player. I lean towards casual, but still like the thrill of viking and dragon attacks every once in a while

As a newcomer to this genre, I found this game a very fun introduction at a low cost and low size. Though the late game is a little repetitive, I think the simplicity works in its favor.
Kingdoms and Castles is one of my favorite city builders because it keeps things simple while still giving you plenty to manage. You start with almost nothing and slowly grow your small village into a huge kingdom. Watching your city expand is really satisfying. The resource management is fun and always keeps you thinking. You have to make sure everyone has food, jobs, housing, and access to everything they need. Planning your city well is important because every district has to function efficiently. The game also mixes in defense, which keeps things interesting. Viking raids and dragons can attack your kingdom, so building strong walls, towers, and castles is just as important as expanding your economy. Later on you can even tame dragons, which is a really cool feature that makes your kingdom feel even more powerful. Trading with other kingdoms gives you another way to grow your economy, and there are plenty of unique buildings to unlock as your city becomes larger. There is always something new to build or improve. The graphics have a simple but charming style that fits the game perfectly, and everything runs smoothly. It is an easy game to relax with, but it also rewards good planning and smart resource management. It is easy to learn, fun to master, and one of those games where you keep saying, "just five more minutes."
Game had alot of potential but sadly the developer abandoned it shortly after release to focus on their upcoming game "Nova Roma" (which I will no longer be purchasing after this abandonware release). Base building is fun but the late game conflict is extremely bland and frustrating mainly because of the AI auto-attacking (even if you use the "hold" command). Very strange approach to make this a singleplayer game, no idea if they ever planned to make this multiplayer. The diplomacy features are very minimal with very little reward or punishment for choices made. If you like a game that focuses only on building and micromanaging dumb AI, this game was made for you.
Absolutely addictive game. It's wholesome, epic and hard if you want. It's really fun and if you like either cozy games, fantasy/medieval or city builders, it's a game for you.
