I am a big fan of the Killing Floor series, but this game just does not deserve to bear that name. It is incredibly undercooked, boring, and just a worse version of the games that came before it. The only positive things I can say about it is that the gun customization and the class abilities genuinely add something more to the game. However, the limited amount of guns for each class, the awful performance, the extremely boring physics, and the downright unacceptable amount of maps show why this game is fundamentally dead. Barely anyone is online at any given time, and there is no server browser, so half the time you will just get plopped into a lobby by yourself, which is a big problem given the awful solo experience of trying to kill a boss that is just impossible most of the time. The performance is unacceptable, I don't have top of the line specs but I exceed the recommended specs given by Tripwire, and it still drops below 60 FPS extremely often, along with just locking itself at 1 FPS randomly during matches, requiring me to fiddle around with the settings until it returns to normal, where I will likely have just died because, you know, I couldn't play the game. The game is also full of bugs, like sometimes just not showing whether your class ability is ready or not, meaning you delve into combat expecting to use your ability, just to get bodied after it doesn't fire. TLDR: Do not buy this game. All you need to know is that text chat was only added in May of 2026, nearly a year after the launch of the game itself. The game was released unfinished, and is still unfinished nearly a year later. If you're looking for an entry into the series, Killing Floor 2 is the vastly superior title, with over a decade of community workshop content and custom hosted servers for you to play in.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You have butchered everything that made the first 2 games fun and the guns look AI generated. The guns in this game are supposed to be the main cast of characters alongside the human ones, and even they look ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. Absolutely butchered the art-style for unoptimized slop. It's almost masochist the way this was released. Almost as if the developers wanted the hate, but no. This felt like desperation. You should have quit while you were still behind, maybe then it wouldn't have been as disappointing.
Actually stunned by how piss poor this game is. KF2 will always be one of my favorites. How on earth could anyone justify releasing this? The game has been out for a year and it is just awful. Combat feels terrible, animations are stiff and distractingly bad. Absolutely ZERO soul. Everything interesting has been stripped from the setting. The new zeds are hilarious looking (not in a good way). What even are these weapons?? lol they look and sound like poop. Not worth buying even on a steep sale. Not worth installing for free. I am contacting support to have this game removed from my inventory and will just go back to kf2.
Finally picked this up for under $15. What a rip off! Runs like complete ass, UI looks like a F2P mobile game, huge weapon models & piss poor animations. KF2 is better in EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE WAY! HARD PASS!
its like watching the wife you fell deeply in love with turn into an old hag
Killing Floor 3 is a game that will probably disappoint many longtime fans, not because it's completely broken... But because it doesn't really feel like the Killing Floor they expected. That is why the poor player reception doesn't come as a surprise. For new players, my advice? Try Killing Floor 2 first. Right now, it delivers more of what people actually love about this franchise. Killing Floor 3 had potential, but currently it feels like a game still searching for its identity.
Game is finally on the right path in terms of gameplay and content. Tripwire is working hard on it and if the game would have been launched in Early Access, the overall community would love it. The issue is that the game came out 1 year ago and performance remains incredibly poor relative to the visual impact of the game. My outlook remains positive!
The shooting feels perfect but the whole game is cheesy and not fun. The creative direction feels like a mobile game.
They added hours from the private beta to the final game so I can't get a refund. Can it get more scummy? Oh wait!, it can! They also made the game always online and on top of that, they don't let you progress while offline either. They force you to engage with the game's microtransactions and crafting with over five resources to complete runs, even while you play on normal. The game took a while in the "shader pre-load" process; much more than usual. I feel as if the purity of the KF games was compromised here. They took a simple concept and want to milk it for as much money as possible. No, I don't want to upgrade my character and weapons, and craft gear on top of gear, on top of freaking gear. No, I don't want normal to be extremely challenging to overcompensate for the upgrades I'm lacking. No, I don't need the graphics to be more demanding while not changing as much from Killing Floor 2. No, I don't need more systems and mechanics on top of a game that's fairly simple in concept. Just awful, awful experience.
