Key Fairy is a delightful, pacifist combination of the Metroidvania and Bullet Hell genres, all wrapped up in a whimsical-fairytale inspired package. As the tiny titular protagonist, you need to rely on your wits, curiosity, kindness, and lots of keys to help progress through a hostile world that needs saving. While intended to be a difficult experience, there are an extensive and diverse array of accessibility and assist modes to help the player traverse through the game should they need the additional support. Overall, a wonderful game that was simultaneously charming and challenging.
I adore this game, definitely give it a try! The writing and design just mesh so nicely into the "Pacifist Bullet Hell" gameplay. If the stark black and white contrast is a bit harsh for you don't let it scare you away. There are plenty of alternate colour schemes available of various contrast

This is officially in my top three favourite games I've ever played. The story and dialog had me grinning from ear to ear. "Whimsical" really is the best word to describe it. The art style is absolutely gorgeous. when I first saw it on the steam store I thought it was a little dark and scary, but after playing for a few hours I totally changed my tune; it meshes absolutely perfectly with the joyous charm and whimsy of the story and dialog. The gameplay is incredibly smooth and satisfying. The game will only take about 5 hours to beat, but after playing through the game once I'm 100% planning on a second playthrough -- not because there are any other routes to explore, but because the game was just that pleasant of an experience. Please buy this game.
Note: maybe back up your save right before the moon fight. The game didn't transition correctly between combat and the ending cutscene and I got killed while going through dialog, which ruined my save...
A beautiful, weird, charming experience with fun movement, whimsical writing, and a world I want to condense into liquid and inject straight into my veins.
Really well-polished game with interesting depth and challenge, and deep thought implementing a lot of accessibility/assistance options. The movement in this game feels incredible, and the illustration, writing and music and sound design are really beautifully done. The story feels heartfelt and intentional, and there's a lot of secrets and paths to go down.
Un juego corto pero divertido con un estilo de arte y una ambientación muy chula. Vale la pena pillarlo de oferta.
I danced through the forest, I danced through the dark. I danced with the light, and I danced with the stars. One of the best games I've ever played, and I make a small break in my time in my role in my journey to say as much before I find myself lost (not lost! never am I lost) again searching for others to befriend, other keys to ferry to some destination. After all, even with no secrets in this forest, who knows where you'll end up without a direction in mind?
