About
Ten years ago, you were chosen to perform a ritual.
Many Nights a Whisper is a meditative third-person archery game. Under the gentle guidance of your mentor, you will train to land an impossibly distant shot. Practice tirelessly, honing your skill for the sacred ceremony that will shape the future of your people. Succeed, and their wishes will come true, bringing a decade of prosperity. Should you fail, ten years of calamity will follow, and their hopes will be lost to the winds.
Ah, and you only have one shot.
No pressure.
Playtime: 50-75 minutes. Delve into the routine of the Dreamer, the person chosen to perform this critical ceremony. Engage with your mentor in warm and intimate discussions. Listen to the townsfolk at the Confession Wall, weigh their whispers, and decide whether to grant their wishes.
Master the sacred slingshot, a mystical device strung with human hair. Carefully aim, adjust for distance, and land fireballs into ancient chalices scattered across a ruin-sewn archipelago.
Immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of the Mediterranean Sea, accompanied by a mesmerizing soundtrack composed by fingerspit.
Enjoy a distinctive art direction through low-poly 3d and vibrant pixel-art textures—a relaxing yet melancholic archipelago filled with imagery inspired by Iberian culture.
✅ Precio aceptable. Contras: ❌ The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall. Quite impressive. Though the main objective of the game is to simply hone your slingshot skills for the big finale event, the narrative under it, how it tells about the guise of control and the uncertainty of your choices is where this game is really at. As a Dreamer you have the power to take or not take people's wishes. At first it seems you're in control of all, and you perceive each of them as independent tales with no connections whatsoever. But then your dreams right after show you these visions (often ominous) of how the wishers' lives are intertwined with each other, causing unintended outcomes. Are they legitimate premonitions, mere possibilities or just an illusionary thought the protagonist is having? The game doesn't elaborate. Regardless, the thought lingers, and you begin to take wishes in a more careful manner just in case. But the catch. You NEED to take wishes to achieve your sole goal of lighting the furthest brazier more easily, because the number of wishes taken is directly linked to your sling's capability. The way the game pressures you into this dilemma is fairly well executed, especially for such a simply made game. Many Nights a Whisper is by content wise, only a slice worth of what you would normally expect from a game, but the price clearly reflects it, and the lasting impression it gives makes this worthy of giving a chance. Recommended. End note: I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the shot.

What a cool game that really makes you consider the consequences of your choices. Highly recommended.
5/10 would read this book series + 3$ - gameplay is awful + story is interesting. - achievement whory
Great emotional and unique story telling done in such a brief playtime.
A nice, short game that makes you think about wishes and dreams
There are mainly two sides to this game. One is more philosophical and purely text-based. It is the part where you make choices, listen to people, and force yourself to think. It is not a game about making correct moral choices. It has no big pressure or predefined answer for what you should consider a good dream worth fulfilling, or a bad wish that is going to ruin someone's life. You are free to do what you want. And that is the most important part: this game lets you peacefully consider what you actually think about people's dreams. Everyone has one, and many of our dreams are hidden deep inside. This game becomes a perfectly safe space for your own self-reflection, your own values in life, and maybe even your own sense of purpose. The second part is basically a third-person shooting section, where you spot targets and try to hit them. This was fun and felt like a little puzzle game. I did not even realize that sometimes you have to shoot boats? Anyway, this is a simple, purely mechanical part that tests your skills. And... it adds a TON of pressure! This game, after all, is about making ONE SHOT. Everything, literally everything, the whole point of the game, pressures you to do only one thing. One time. No retries, no excuses. And it felt... scary? I think this game absolutely nails the feeling of great responsibility. It is just a small game, and yet it makes you feel like this is the most important arrow you will ever shoot in any video game. It is a good game, yes. Not a masterpiece, but it does not even try to be one. And what it was trying to achieve, it hit straight on target.

Amazing. Must-feel.
