Kathy Rain 2: Soothsayer

Jogo incrível! A história é empolgante e prende o jogador, os puzzles tem um bom balanceamento com alguns um pouco mais complexos e outros mais "simples", os personagens são muito reais e me deixaram imersa a ponto de chorar em alguns momentos com seus erros e acertos. E, para finalizar, a arte é excepcionalmente linda, as cutscenes são perfeitas. Recomendo muito esse jogo, o primeiro também é incrível, mas as melhorias adicionadas nesse deixaram tudo ainda melhor.

Un plaisir de retrouver Kathy Rain et son humour, avec une trad FR à la hauteur dans l'ensemble. L'histoire, les décors et cinématiques, la musique, tout est bien et les énigmes marchaient bien pour moi de façon générale, avec un niveau de difficulté qui était parfait pour moi qui suit plutôt dans la case "occasionel point and click". Un récap du 1 est proposé en début de jeu, mais je pense que j'aurais mieux fait de refaire le 1 avant pour me rafraîchir la mémoire, j'étais un peu paumée à un moment. Bref, j'espère un 3 !

Recommended with reservations: the UI, voice acting, design, puzzles (no insanely illogical puzzles like so many point and clicks are infamous for), are all top of genre. Double clicking to exit and hurry is present, lots of little time saving elements here that are much appreciated that every point and click should have IMO (moving you along, verbally and automatically, when everything is finished at that locale, etc) BUT, it's been quite a while since i played the first one, and the recap was not NEARLY enough for me to enjoy this one nearly as much as the first one. So much so that I felt almost lost the entire second half of the game, there were so many missed references. I would only recommend this if you recently played KR. or are willing to watch a playthrough or something (highly recommend playing it though, it's a great game, even better than this one IMO). Also, the game goes from traditional gumshoe mystery, to cosmic weirdness with multiple planes of existence...just...nonsense, really. The game would be much better without the cosmic silliness, or just made a game around that part exclusively (preferably, separately). As is, it's a bit of a disjointed mess.

The first Kathy Rain was great, this one is even better. Picking up a few years after the first game, Kathy has her own PI business, if she can keep it running, and a new case is dredging up memories she'd rather keep buried. I loved some of the logic puzzles, and the gameplay was amazing. And at the end of the game, we finally see some long needed changes starting to happen. Absolutely wonderful.

Usually sequels are worse but this one is actually good if not better
