Kao the Kangaroo (2000 re-release)

Yeah I don't think this one aged well. It's a platformer with corridor-like levels (think Crash Bandicoot), but Kao moves slowly and hitting enemies with his punches and tail whip feels janky. You have throwable gloves, but those aren't plentiful and enemies respawn after a few seconds anyway. The worst are the vehicle levels: you die in one hit and there are no checkpoints at all, so get ready to see Kao becoming an angel many times. Quitting a level reset the progress made within, but also refunds the lost lives, which is handy if you're losing a dozen of them in some hard sections. The bosses are very easy to beat, though one of them (the one riding a cloud) has a weirdly obtuse way to make him vulnerable, which is [spoiler]running under him while he's facing you.[/spoiler] Go for it if you're really feeling nostalgic, but Round 2 is a much better introduction for the little boxing kangaroo.

Plataforma simples de pegar e jogar, lembrando bastante Crash Bandicoot da era Naughty Dog. Mas é um jogo que requer um pouco de paciência, pois os controles não são os melhores, os ataques muitas vezes não conectam e a velocidade de movimento do Kao é muito lento. É um "humble beginnings", por isso estou recomendando, mas é um jogo que precisa ter isso em mente caso queira jogar a franquia pelo primeiro jogo.

Old school game. Reminds me of Raymon? for some reason. Not my type of game. The nostalgia was too much for me.
