If you'd asked me this before June 2025, I would have wholly recommended it. However, in it's current state after the last major update, sadly, I can't today. The game is a fun rogue-like City builder-RTS hybrid, that leans more in the RTS direction. It has a compelling gameplay loop that kept you going in for more as rogue-lites should do. Sure the game had it's bugs and design flaws then too, like unit controls being imprecise and generally uncomfortable and your leader, whose the lynchpin of the game, occasional getting himself stuck in inaccessible areas; but these issues were manageable and tolerable. In about 7 months I'd clocked in 900 hours. However after the last update in June 2025, which while adding a bunch of cool additions, also introduced many gamebreaking bugs as well and while the dev did release a hotfix quickly it didn't fix the worst bugs, which persist to this day, and now the dev has seemingly abandoned and, albeit unintentionally, broke it, in favor of his next project. I want to reiterate however, the main issue is that the game is currently in a very broken state now, not that the dev has seemingly abandoned it, and this why I can't recommend it currently. And if there was a way to revert to patch 1.1 I would recommend it too, but unfortunately there isn't a way to do that currently either.

Can't recommend until the dev addresses multiple game breaking bugs that prevent you from playing. The worst being that you can't start a level until you open and close the game a few times hoping that it decides to work. Then once you're in a map you have to keep pressing escape to open the game menu to get the game to respond to inputs again. If you manage to finish a level, you're back to restarting the game.
I like the idea of the game, but there are so many problems. A lot of basic gameplay is cumbersome and confusing. The buildings don't always work as expected and can be difficult to place in a way that utilizes their functions. Sometimes when you unlocked a tech there is a bug where it simply doesn't show up on your bar and you have to surrender and start over. There are also many situations where the random techs you choose from have no viable options for continuing and you are stuck trying to scramble to find more techs to complete your goals. This game seems like it's getting worse instead of better. I remember having an easier time playing when I first bought it.
sometimes my thinker got stuck on the ground, I can tolerate it if that only happen once or twice. But it happens many times and that's so annoying. I hope the dev fix this issue. Until then, I can't recommend it. But if you really want to play city builder with some roguelike element, try it. Skill issue? idk
I hate play this game, i don't know why i keep playing it.
This is actually a surprisingly good game. The time is a bit bloated because I left it running overnight once or twice, but I've still played it quite a lot. The rogue-lite elements are solid, and the design is really nice. It's pretty cozy, and while there is a fair amount of strategy if you're fighting something, it's pretty chill. If there was one thing I would ask for... maybe a freeplay? While the gameplay is focused on short runs, I would like the opportunity to create a huge village without anything really pressing.
