Very interesting game. I like that you equip your own units and that you have to handle public opinion on top of actually managing crimes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oKdVu30KdM
This game is awesome.
This game is really a lot of fun. There is a lot to manage, but much of it comes pretty quickly as you try things. I had some questions and the devs responded very quickly. If you enjoy management games, this one is very worth a try. I got it on a bit of a sale, but I have already gotten full-price value out of it. Very fun. Very well done.
Definitely worth playing if you enjoy a police management sim. Keeping Fremont clean is a big challenge! It's kind of a blend between managing a police department part time and acting as a police dispatcher. Be aware that the game is deceptively simple. There is a lot more going on in the under-the-hood game mechanics than meets the eye at first glance. This game is all about decision making... You have to continually decide what's more important: Do I respond to that barking dog report? Sure--until a burglary happens a few blocks away. Do I arm my officers to the teeth? Sure--if you don't care about intimidating the public. What happens if I only hire officers with high strength ratings? (They are great for grabbing cats out of trees and changing tires for a stranded motorist, but might resort to settling things in a more physical fashion that could lead to more altercations, same with over-arming officers). Do you send four units to chase down a fleeing suspect? (Tip: Some suspects require multiple police units in pursuit before they will pull over) Yeah, I could do that, but then I may be forced to neglect the robbery in progress in a neighboring district. No problem, just hire more officers, right? Well, sure, if you have any money remaining in your yearly budget. No? Well, you could adjust your officers tolerance for issuing warnings vs citations to make them a lot more likely to cite people and generate a little revenue that way, but then the public may start taking a dim view of a pushy police force. Maybe you have some officers who have excellent aim rating, but are not very strong or maybe they need better investigative skills. Send them to the academy where they can buff their skills! The music tracks set the mood for the game and you can disable any that you don't like. It has kind of an 80s arcade vibe to it overall. Graphics are simple, but communicate everything that's important to see. Overall, this game gives you a taste for what it is like to make all the important every day decisions that a police chief and dispatcher have to make every day.
I can say that Jurisdiction for me seems to be more fun vs the old police tactics imperio game. Now, I have to agree that this game is buggy as heck when you have tons of units in the game. I did not like the idea for having a set number of patrols you can make, like what I mean once you hit the limit, you can't make anymore, it's a big shame just then at least you could had cover more of the city with more patrols ect. I seem to find that SWAT Units are pointless when you can just arm your normal police units with full guns and body armour. I wish I could have the voice of each town different e.g say if I name this part of the town x name, I want the A.I to say "Crime reported in x town, all nearby units, please respond. I did tell the devs I would like to see the police K9 Dog units in this game seems you do have them in real life :)
The kind of top down police strategy game I've been looking for. There's multiple difficulty settings now to set it to a pace you can enjoy. Devs update often and add new things, over all solid concept. Cant wait to see what else they add.
Love this Game. Offers a refreshing take on the management sims of yesterday. If i had to criticize anything it would be the lack of regular updates with new features and/or no DLC's or Expansions. Pretty solid game though
I recommend this game if you like police dispatch type games and management. It takes time to experiment and learn all aspects of the game, it will keep you busy. I appreciate the graphics and time the developer(s) took to make this happen. Although it is completed (I think), it’s never too late for them to re-open it, tweak it up a bit, re-release it. (let me know if you do). One of my issues is that it takes a long time for training, too bad there isn’t an ‘upgrade’ button. I kind of wish it was a slower pace, it gets crazy during a crime wave, and can get overwhelming, but I give it a thumbs up, thanks developer! There are no police dispatch games out there like this one.
Neat idea. It may not be perfect but sure is addictive to play. I'm sure that the issues will be ironed out as soon as gamers start giving feedback and the developers publish updates. For sure worth the price and time.
Its a neat concept but if you want and RTS police/dispatch game just get 911/112 Operator or the Emergency series of games. No hate to the developer just need to work on the UI bug and maybe make the calls less frequent and units skill/suspect skill not so under/over powered.
