A game this bad has no right being this good. The animations, designs, and gameplay are all rather out the box running animations pack #3-esq. But the cute, unique story combined with the self aware and in general humor blow out the cheap feel of the game visually. 9/10 : clearly a labor of love and I eagerly await "Dragon and Auditor go to visit the probably dangerous mages" (working title)
Спасибо Богдану Вавилову (twitch lasqa), что показал эту замечательную игру.
Patrego
Strange game and oddly delightful. The art and animations are both terrible and great. The writing is what really sets it apart. It's clever and enjoyable. Recommended if you're up for something silly and weird.
This is a really strange game xD. It has its really own charm and some funny and cute moments. However it also is quite a buggy mess and short. It is a mixture between walking simulator, Visual Novel and Puzzle Game, however since it uses the Unity engine it doesnt feature any of the typical VN things. The good thing though is that you dont really need any of them as the game has a good mix between typical VN parts, cut scenes and actual walking or puzzle parts so you never get to a point were you would need a skip button or something extra. The walking part of this game is what really is quite buggy. In my playthrough I really didnt try to bug into stuff or search for bugs, but I still bugged through walls twice. Moving around also is quite clunky or just not really flowing correctly and the camera can also easily clip through walls or floors. So if you are looking for a technically polished game then this really wont fit. Nevertheless it really has its own charm and the focus isnt on all the technical things but just on the story and the dialogues. Because of that I cant really complain too much about the technicalities and instead appreciate it for its own quirkiness. The art is alright, but the drawings, of which there arent all that many, are very nice. The Puzzles/Minigames that exist are also quite nice and not hard as to make them annoying but they also arent so easy that they are useless or anything. Apart from that the story itself is nothing super complex or anything, but it is pretty charming and the writing also fits the game and gives it a very cute vibe overall. Overall, this is a pretty weird game and technically maybe not all that good, but I still liked it and the story, graphics and just overall impressions I got from everything made it quite enjoyable to play through. Considering how short it is, not even 2 hours, and that it isnt a polished experience though, makes me feel like the price is a bit high. Nontheless if you have the money for it and you want a cute and pretty fun short game to play then why not give it a try it will at least give you a few smiles while playing. There isn't much to say about this game. It's short and sweet. The puzzles aren't hard, but the solutions are funny and the item descriptions have some nice bits as well. The story is too short to get complicated, but it's fulfilling without being too sappy. I laughed out loud several times. The whole game left me in a good mood with a smile on my face after a stressful day. And I hope there is a sequel some day. Edit: Oh and since I read the other reviews I should mention that the controls were smooth for me and I didn't have any bugs. But I also used a controller. I remember when I played the demo a few months back with a keyboard it was a bit clunky. So use a controller if you can.
Well written short funny adventure. It's about 2 hours, and I loved every minute of it. Technically, it's an old-style point&click in 3D, with descriptions and dialogues and combining things in your inventory. But it's also very funny and off-the-wall and full of surprises. Ayraw is a dragon who wishes one of the knights who come to slay her would go on a date with her, and she's got to put up with the annoying princess who's boarding in her castle; George is a battle accountant and supposed to audit the dragon's books, chosen for this task because something he did made him *very* unpopular in the town of Squelch. The writing and the character animations combine wonderfully for a funny/heartwarming story; and the game design is full of off-the-wall solutions for weird problems that are nonetheless fun to figure out. Basically, what I'n saying is, don't judge this game by its screenshots. (I'm thankful the developer didn't cover the 3D art up with a heavy pixelation filter, like so many other games do nowadays.) If you have my sense of humor, you must play this game.
What I have played of this game so far has been fantastic! Some of the animations and controls(kb+m) are a little rough around the edges, but the hilarious writing surrounding it more than make up for this. There is also some light puzzle solving to be had here which was entertaining, and there are options to make this easier if puzzles aren't your thing. I definitely recommend playing this if you're looking for a funny and wholesome adventure game to put a smile on your face - even better with friends!
As an Auditor, I really liked this game.
I think it would be very easy to harshly judge this game based solely on the trailer and content on the store page. Despite that, it is a thoroughly enjoyable adventure gaming experience. Indeed the trailer doesn't do the graphics and art style justice which actually looks much better in game (although admittedly still very obviously Unity powered). The puzzles are on the simpler end of the spectrum, although I personally prefer that over absurd moon logic puzzles typical of older adventure games. It is relatively short, and can easily be completed in one ~90 minute sitting. For the price asked I think that is very reasonable. If you like point and click adventure games, high fantasy romantic comedies, and accounting related humor, or any combination of the three, then you owe it to yourself to check this game out.
