I was given the priviledge of getting the game early for playtesting, so I've seen some bugs that have already been patched. But I will try my best not to let that ruin my review. SPOILERS AHEAD FROM HERE ON OUT! IF YOU DON'T WISH TO HAVE THE GAME SPOILED, JUST SKIP TO THE VERDICT! Premise: The game should be pretty obvious, its a horror game where cars and trucks of all kinds try to kill you. You go through several levels with multiple sublevels in it of themselves that slowly lead to the deactivation of each level and its anomalies to move on. And to perfect it, you need to make every machine on the last level 100% to get a full completion. Excluding the tutorial, there's 5-6, or 7 levels (don't even dare say it) and all of them have a varying amount of anomalies. I finished the game in under two or so days with elongated brakes to prevent burnout. The full game back-to-back should roughly take you at least 2 hours minimum if you know what you're doing. Pros: - Wide selection of anomalies to hide from and cars to drive - Easy instructions to follow, with a debrief before every mission. - A good amount of levels with a bunch of variety, some anomalies only activate later on to make the game a bit more fun. - The anomalies have varying, unique abilities. Some sharing the same powers, but others having completely unique abilities, special to themselves. - Theres several documents you can find, which requires you to either backtrack to certain levels or do other things differently. - Theres a lot of special tools and other equipment you can unlock or purchase which can benefit you in one way or another to make your run easier. - A good amount of recurring cars from the old game also transfer to this one, alongside a good plethora of new vehicles that had yet to have been seen in the game before. Cons: - The player tends to slide around often, and the mouse sensitivity at the beginning is way too high. - The game doesn't have much replayability once you beat the game and find all of the documents, some vehicles still make the loop more worth it however. - The execution of the tasks you need to do may be a bit confusing at first, specifically the Initial patrol/transmitter placement levels. It makes more sense once you finally figure out how it works. But it still is a bit tricky to understand. - I absolutely despise that stupid anomaly with the sharp, teeth-looking grille in the last level, personal experience but its still terrifying. - Compared to the last few games in the series (1, 2, and breakout), there is a lack of build mode, but this is just the game's release, like the others -- Build mode and anything else came later on in the game's history via updates. Verdict: If you want a fun game to record for your videos, or if you want a unique horror game, definitely get this. Yes, there may be better examples such as Decimate Drive or whatnot, but if you like the slightly sci-fi aspect of these killer cars trying to murder you, then this game is worth it. I'd recommend getting it on sale, and/or wait for the game to be more updated as time goes on. If somehow you still aren't convinced, try out the demo and see how it is for yourself.
The Killer Cars return, more brutal and relentless than ever!
pretty cookin game
Junkyard Fury 3 has some positives and negatives compared to the previous game, if you liked the previous games and also want to give a try to this one, go ahead, though I would recommend playing at least the previous game before this one for a better immersion and experience. Pros - - Better car handling (Unless you are a bad driver). - Nicer graphics without much performance impact. - Better explanation of the lore and the backstory of each car. - 2 endings, one of them might be easy to miss. - A dodge button, but not always reliable. - Better car models. - Returning vehicles from previous games and some new ones. - Cars don't insta kill you just by touching them anymore, allowing sometimes jumping over them to escape. - Each area feels different and very distinctive from one another. - A selection of upgrades you can choose for your vehicles Cons - - I miss finding cars around the map rather than having to start with one. - sometimes custom keybinds might not work properly unless you use the default ones. - AI got a massive improvement compared to the previous game, however it still pretty easy for them to get stuck and you literally have to help them get out if you want to have some challenge, the same can also happen to your car, turning it useless. - Itens still marked on the map even if you already picked them up, sometimes there is nothing. - Some levels can be rushed or be turned into a easy mode if you have some specific upgrades bought, taking all the challenge away even on the hard difficult Personal opinion - - Im sad that the is no CA1 (Christine) and School Zone (The Car). :( - The Annihilation Mode from the previous game where one of the best things added, hope we get something similar for this game too, same to the workshop compatibility. - Collectables are pretty hard to find - Landmines should have a timer rather than being unlimited. - The base price is pretty high, I think the price of the introductory offer should have been the base price.
junkyard fury 3 is a very good game! i love the voice acting, the different objectives compared to the second game, and i love the new mechanics and cars. it's a wide variety of new things and different cars with new looks. the gameplay feels a lot different from the second game, but it was a much better change from the second game to the third game. i do have some suggestions though, such as adding other behaviors that are popular with other horror games (like the redlight behavior with headliner,) i love the cutscenes, and i wish that the cars and SCO-17 and 23 get some more cutscenes in the future. the game is great! it's a big step-up from junkyard fury 2, and i'm impressed.
i loved the game all the anomalys i liked the levels but one thing i would add to the game would be the level builder from jf2 and one thing i disliked was the game keeded crashing at the end of aj9 idk if it was my pc or the game but enyways looking forerd to junkyard fury 4 bye
игра топ, не зря ждал ее полгода. Она в разы лучше 2 части!
A lot better than the previous installment. I'm not gonna spoiler it until you guys play it and yeh let's start the review. I like the new anomalies were added as well as some returning anomalies from 1, 2 and Breakout. I like that they added a city style level with an epic atmosphere. I like that now you have various amounts of vehicles to choose and some variety of tools to upgrade your vehicle of choice. I was kinda disappointed that some of the anomalies from the previous installments didn't show up. (I don't miss Fabled and Monster Hunter). Now let me rant on one thing about this game and that is one anomaly that is a torturous hellish of a nightmare to deal with on the last level and yes it's got a sharp teeth grille, which is on the last level.
Because it's very scary, and hard, and jumpscare Proublem and Bugs (Actually The Meat Eater Was Fast.)
