The Dark Delivers

It's a lot like the Five Nights at Freddy's but you're there trying to get a job done (inspecting packages). You're practically in the same room as the monsters and they're behind you as you work, reacting positively or negatively to the sounds & light you produce. I was surprised at all the small details that ended up getting me really into it. Your eyes blur before a blink animation as your eyes adjust to the dark warehouse behind you. Your flashlight dims as the battery drains. The room gets darker the further you are into your shift, that kinda stuff. Immersive. fun. stressful.

I’m not usually a big fan of horror games that have a lot of jump scares, but I decided to give this indie game a try. I found The Dark Delivers incredibly unsettling and genuinely stressful to play—in the best way. The developers have done a fantastic job creating a creepy, immersive atmosphere, paired with gameplay that heightens my stress levels and keeps pushing me forward until I finish each level, despite how uncomfortable it makes me. I found the gameplay highly addictive. It forces you to do your job well, without making mistakes, all while keeping you on edge. You feel paranoid that something is about to get you or that you’ve missed something important. I also really enjoyed learning about the new monsters in each level and seeing how each one challenged me more than the last. I'm glad I gave The Dark Delivers a go and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the developers and am really looking forward to seeing what they create next!

This game was so much fun! A mix of FNAF and Papers Please make this one special! The devs did a great job capturing super intense moments with simple controls. Grab this one. You wont be disappointed!!

After successfully working through all 5 nights (and finding out there are MORE challenges after the fact..), I really enjoyed my time with The Dark Delivers. Starting off, the premise of the game is quite simple & I thought it would be a piece of cake! Inspecting packages while babysitting some mean critters from attacking me? How hard could that be! Well.. That 5th night REALLY got to me, but, I didn't give up! Nights 1-3 are mainly good tutorials, introducing new mechanics & letting you get the hang of the task(s) at hand. Sometimes each package has a little twist or SOMETHING off about it (but I was always oblivious to that, haha). Overall, I have yet to complete the epilogues & follow up on the lore, but more updates are coming (confirmed by the devs)! I am excited to see more games from JaB Arcade, especially after the great experience I had with this one! :^)

I found this very fun and pretty spooky! The point and click aspect was new to me and may of caused some premature deaths lol. You really have to be fast paced with timing and hearing the monsters triggers. Unexpectedly awesome and I recommend this to any and all horror game fans!

If you like games like FNAF, this game does a great job at being an entry into that genre and adding more to it. You not only need to package boxes, but keep an eye on monsters that have different ways of dealing with them. It's well balanced, fun and intense. The package checking reminds me a bit about Papers Please. Highly recommend picking this game up!

Or become best friends with who... or what... is lurking in the dark? The Dark Delivers has easy to learn mechanics, smooth graphics, and seamless gameplay. The tasks are challenging without feeling impossible, which keeps things fun and rewarding. The game perfectly balances suspense and laughter, constantly keeping you on your toes. You really have to pay attention to every aspect to make it out alive. If FNAF and Papers, Please is your type of game, then don't even hesitate in grabbing this one! It is fantastic and I have enjoyed playing it and look forward to playing more. Highly recommend—especially impressive for a first title. Well done!

The Dark Delivers is unmistakeably the perfect blend between FNAF and Papers Please gameplay, resulting in the ultimate test of being able to stay focused under severe pressure. It shadows your mind with a constant state of paranoia while you are expected to remain attentive to the primary objective at hand. If you think you’ve finally worked out a strategy for fast and efficient objective clearing, well guess what, the devs are one step ahead of you. The monster’s mechanics are intelligently crafted to make your strategies that little bit less effective and cause you to have to think far more before you act, making each night more challenging than the last. For the limited amount of time I played; I had quite the enjoyment - I'm not big into these style of survival horror games that traps you in a room and you have to fend off the nightmares that are out to get you (basically FNAF style) though this has peaked my fancy. The gameplay is engaging and you're always having to do something; the game distracts you by forcing you to complete tasks which completely throws off your focus on the imminent danger which only adds for a more chilling experience. Having it where there's a new gameplay mechanic surrounding the monsters every night keeps things fresh and gives you the feeling of satisfaction once you've reached a new stage of the difficulty curve. Overall, I really enjoy this game and look forwards to what the lads at JaB Arcade has to offer both in terms of future updates and games. A really well-built indie game.
