[b]Joint Task Force[/b] is an old, traditional, old-school modern-warfare RTS, typical from the era when it was first released. The game is very enjoyable and if you are a fan of war RTS games, then this is a must have. There is a story with great cinematics and TV video news during the missions. And war correspondent Pepper Morgan’s nipples are ready to pierce through her top. Although the game is old, the graphics, the explosions still look great. Later in the game those seemingly endless heavy enemy assaults comprising of helicopter gunships, main battle tanks and self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery can cause problems for the player and those Apache attack helicopter flights are very much needed. The game’s story ends in a cliffhanger, at the end of the last cinematic they say “to be continued…”, but a sequel was never made. Which is a shame because this is a great game. Highly recommended.

Giocai questo gioco su cd poco dopo la sua uscita (2006) e l'ho rigiocato nel 2026, finendo entrambe le volte la campagna principale (la seconda volta 38 ore di gioco) e senza mai provare gli scenari singoli o il multiplayer. Devo dire che è invecchiato benissimo, la grafica, che all'epoca era un gioiello, è ancora molto bella e il gameplay è divertente. La particolarità del gioco sta nel fatto che si comandano poche unità e si possono ordinare i rinforzi col contagocce. Niente raccolta di risorse, i fondi per i rinforzi vengono elargiti se si completano obiettivi intermedi e si tiene alta la reputazione mediatica (facendo gli eroi anzichè i macellai). Si comandano unità tipicamente US Army e contemporanee all'uscita del gioco, combattendo contro unità prevalentemente ex sovietiche. Il gameplay è in tempo reale, piuttosto tattico e punitivo. SPOILER: Ci sono in totale 1 tutorial 19 lunghe missioni, ognuna articolata in varie sezioni scandite da obiettivi intermedi, in 5 diverse ambientazioni (Somalia, Afganistan, Bosnia, Colombia, Iraq) e soprattutto c'è una giornalista con capezzoli che sembrano missili :-D

I love this game and I wish they would make a sequel or a remaster but I still like to come back to it time to time to play it again I wish they was more games like this one
