They are always challenging, but never frustrating. I love that there are subscenes, and that some hidden objects are layered and are only discovered after removing a particular object. These HOGs are not your Grandma's HOGs of yesteryear; they are incredibly unique ,and you have to try the game and see for yourself just how entertaining (and beautiful) they are!   The Torn Pieces game and the Coloring Game are games I could play all day as well ...but those Locked Boxes puzzles...Let's just say they are addictive and mind-boggling at times! They can be frustrating to play because you can easily get to the point where a wrong move clogs the entire board and you run out of possible moves. I thank the dev for giving me their newest game from the Jixo series. This time we're in a carnival packed with diverse games (from tile matching, hidden objects, coloring, mah-jong, torn pieces, blocks, etc.) and wonderful images about music, partying, happy vibes, enjoyment. PROS: - A full range of diverse games for each themed category (carnival, party, dance club, etc.); - Highly crisp images that are perfect for background images or wall paintings (Hope the dev will create some in the Steam Points section); - Vibrant colors to pastels, there is a large range of visual excitement in this game; - Zoom in and out perfect for looking up in the hidden sections of the Hidden Objects. NEUTRE: - Sometimes, the prompt window becomes annoying. I am not stuck. I am thinking. Dev, let the players decide when to use the Hint button. Okay? - It kind of gets repetitive. I would like each category to contain a set of games. The other category can have another set of games. CONS: - None at the moment. If you like diverse, cheerful, colorful puzzles, then this is a perfect game for the entire family.

A colorful, delightfully crafted game filled with numerous puzzles and hidden object scenes. All these accompanied by relaxing music tracks that immerse one in the world of Jixo. Highly recommended!

When I first started playing the latest installment of the Jixo series, I was sort of "meh" because there's a pretty heavy emphasis on jigsaw puzzle variants, which isn't quite my thing. But the game has grown on me after sticking with it. All of the Jixo games are mixed-genre games featuring an assortment of all the different types of puzzles found in other MixoGames releases. This newest installment has the usual HOS, traditional jigsaws, swap-2 jigsaw variant, arrow block puzzles, and restore-the-image using the fragments puzzles, plus new additions of paint-by-numbers and mahjong. There are 11 "chapters" with 6 levels each where every chapter has an assortment of the different genres. I'd have liked to see a few more mahjong layouts and paint-by-numbers because it still seems top-heavy with jigsaw puzzle variants and restoring the images puzzles. The CE extras are a new tile-flipping puzzle game where you're supposed to turn the entire grid the same color with a limited amount of moves, a crossword puzzle variant, 9 more arrow block puzzles, plus the "screensaver" sort of image gallery featured in most MixoGames releases, where there's a random assortment of images displayed with the game soundtrack playing. The tile-flipping game and crossword puzzle game look like they're endless. They're also on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of difficulty. I rapidly got bored with the word game, but the tile-flipping game has a difficulty curve which goes straight up. Playing on the hardest difficulty is seriously brain straining. The HOS are the true gems of the game, with more interactive features built in. However, there's not a good tip-off that you need to click on something in the scene when there is a "secret" feature built in. I found myself wandering around in circles between all the insets for several minutes before the game apparently felt sorry for me and finally displayed some text at the top of the screen saying something like "the door has more than silence" or some such. Having a halo or something around the door, curtain, or whatever which needs to be clicked upon to get to something else would have been really useful. Not all the insets in the HOS are easy to navigate. Some have the X in the top right corner to close the inset, but others have a single arrowhead somewhere in the scene which isn't that obvious to click upon to get back to the main scene. Objects may be really tiny or not appear until you've found something else. There were times when I'd have the scene zoomed in and dragging the screen around and something would get "found" on the list, but I wouldn't even know what it was I'd found! The zoom feature as shown in the interface is sort of clunky. I discovered by sheer accident you can zoom in and out using the scroll wheel on the mouse and that works much better than the buttons in the game controls. A tweak to the swap-2 jigsaw mechanic where pieces which go next to each other now group together if you happen to align them somewhere in the playfield makes those games more enjoyable than in earlier Jixo games. The arrow block puzzles are more challenging than in early games. Two of them literally took me 2-3 hours each to solve! A recent update added an undo button to all these puzzles, which is extremely useful, but those 2 puzzles I mentioned earlier are still beastly. I did eventually solve them in my first player profile, but have no idea how I did it. A couple of tragic spelling mistakes or incorrect words used in the HOS "list" were plain annoying. A "tongue" turned out to be a pair of tongs, and a "metal horn" (huh?) turned out to be a wooden hand. Or maybe it was a metal hand, but still...doubt anyone would figure those out without using the hint button. [update] These errors were fixed in a patch. All the graphics are AI generated, but I play games to have fun so as long as I'm enjoying the game, don't really care how the graphics were made. However, the swap-2 jigsaw variants and the restore the scene games have particularly "fake" images of overly shiny, glittery, repetitive elements/colors, and non-realistic everything. Less is more, devs! The game loads slowly on my potato PC, which I don't remember happening with the earlier installments. It's most noticeable with the HOS, since those are the most complex elements of the game. You'll get several hours of gameplay if you're a completionist, so it's not a bad deal for the price. But I think I've got enough of this series for now. Or at least until I can afford a new PC.

Like all Jixo games, this one is absolutely gorgeous! The graphics, the music...so easy to lose yourself playing the diverse games and challenging HO levels. Other reviews go into greater detail than me but I will say that I have played Jixo games through my Gamehouse subscription and I came to Steam to BUY this one because I didn't want to wait for it! Yes, these are that good. Another wonderful game in their series!

MixoGames has created another stunningly beautiful, completely relaxing yet thoroughly entertaining hidden object masterpiece. With HOS that are so captivating along with 5 other puzzle games in each level, you will be completely entertained for a very long time. Although the puzzles are fun, sometimes complex, and always interesting, the HOS are the showcase of the game. They are challenging but not ridiculously difficult ---- they are, in fact, captivating and enchanting. Other devs would do well to examine this game as MixoGames has taken the lead and showing the swarm of copycat devs how this style of game should be done. Objects are well hidden but never impossibly shaded or hidden in dark corners or virtually impossible to see ---- the scenes are well crafted for an experience of "one more scene" or "one more puzzle". This one is ---- like ALL MixoGames ---- a must have for fans of hidden object games or puzzle games or just a unique and delightful casual game. Completely and totally recommended.

Exquisite detailed graphics along with charming melodies make these puzzles so enjoyable! This collection is one of my favorites. Puzzle Fans, I highly recommend you add this to your library. You will not be disappointed!
