Twistingo: Tree of Life Collector’s Edition

I very much enjoyed this game, the HO's were not too easy and yet very doable, a little different from some of the usual ho's found in games, they were fun to do, the many beautiful scenes would make great screensavers, the various parts of the game's puzzles are varied with good interaction, it's an amusing game and i'd like to see more of them, i will definitely play it again. it's great entertainment and definitely worthy of a re-play

It's not quite a HOPA...more like a HOG+ if you ask me, but pretty enough and different enough than run-of-the mill HOGs to be interesting. Maybe it's that I'm not very good at hidden object games, but I found this one very challenging, because a lot of the objects are tiny. Every "chapter" of the game is a giant scene with several subsections, and it's a VERY sequential game. Objects are frequently embedded in the same locations where you have to wait for the "top" item to appear in your list before you can pick it up, which then uncovers more objects buried below. Or, you have to find some amount of items before invisible items will appear. I found this frustrating at times. There are items which may or may not appear in the "list", but are also required to be collected in order to progress. Sometimes this involves locating pieces of something to build an item to use in the scene, or clicking on certain things to unlock a puzzle. Playing the puzzles gives you other sorts of inventory needed to complete the game. The puzzles are mahjong, a slider puzzle variant in which you must remove all the directional arrow blocks, and your choice of an assortment of pick-2 clutter games/traditional HOS or a marble popper "bingo" game variant. I completed the game twice with 2 different player profiles to see how the clutter/HOS and bingo games compared, and they were both equally fun for me. The clutter games are beautifully done, with multiple layers of items to match up as you're going along. The bingo games are challenging, but not "marble rage" impossible, although it did take a couple of tries with a few of them on extreme difficulty. In between "chapters" there are options to 1) spend some of your gold coins on items to improve the island locale, and 2) buy tickets for playing the "game room", where an assortment of more arrow block puzzles, solitaire games, a ball-breaking Pachinko sort of game, and a guess-higher-or-lower card slot machine game await. I'm not sure how many different levels there are in the game room, but it seems like there are at least a dozen of each game. You can't buy all the island upgrades without either playing the game room for a while, or if you play the bonus levels in the CE extras (more arrow block puzzles, mahjong, and solitaire). A few things which could have been done better would be: -If the sparkling areas would stop sparkling temporarily if there's nothing to be done there for the time being, and then would begin sparkling again when there's something to be done there. Would have saved me hours of going around in circles... -Making the clutter/hidden object vs. bingo game choice a little more apparent when starting the game. I only knew about the choice from reading about it elsewhere, and "curious clicking" in the game options. I also can't remember if there was an option to choose the game difficulty when first starting a new player, or if I had to figure that out from "curious clicking" in the game options too. -A choice to use the Windows cursor, instead of just a large custom cursor or a smaller version of the same custom cursor (I am not a fan of custom cursors). -Having an "undo" button in the arrow block puzzles. If you make a mistake halfway through, you're forced to completely reset. If you enjoy this game, you'll enjoy the previous installment of the Twistingo series (Twistingo: Blue Moon) as well, as it has a similar feel and mechanics. However, the first four games of the series were more marble popper and straight up traditional HOS, which may or may not be your cup of tea. Oh, I actually like the glowing mushrooms in the game...it's too bad they're evil fungi and you have to get rid of them!

Beautiful, colorful game. The exotic choice for the cozy gamer. This little gem holds many extras and content. Give it a go. Highly recommended! PS The reported waterfall bug was fixed by the devs.

Leider kann ich das Spiel nicht durchspielen. Beim Wasserfall gibt es eine Störung und man kann das letzte Item nicht aufnehmen. Außerdem lässt es sich nicht weiterspielen, wenn man ein Toll zu früh aufgenommen hat. Kennt man die Reihenfolge nicht - ist das Spiel unflexibel. Sehr schade, da die Spielidee interessant ist. Fehler wurde sofort behoben. Konnte das Spielproblemlos durchspielen. Vielen lieben Dank dafür. Sehr schönes Game Tolle Ideen und sehr schönes Thema

Glitches at Waterfall 1 and you can't retrieve the ring to continue to play. I played it twice and the same thing happens.

What a beautiful game! Graphics are superb, the music is light and the games are fun. I love hunting for the hidden objects and it seem like there is a surprise around every corner. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.
