Jewel Match Twilight Solitaire

Das Spiel ist nicht gut. Es ist sehr glücksabhängig, ob man ein Level schafft oder nicht. Ich hatte mehrfach Level, die komplett unmöglich zu lösen waren, weil bestimmte Karten, die man benötigte, unter Karten lagen, die man erst freischalten musste. Es gibt ein Mahjong-Minispiel und wer dort die Shuffle-Funktion gemacht hat, hat es nicht geschafft, es so zu machen, dass es zu einer möglichen Lösung shuffelt. Teilweise muss man zehnmal neu shuffeln, bis man ein lösbares Feld bekommt. Insgesamt ist das auf jeden Fall eines der schlechtesten Solitärspiele, die ich gespielt habe.

A decently challenging well-made solitaire game with the perfect aesthetic for spooky season. Kept mostly simple and static with only a few flourishes of effects and animations, the visuals help maintain a laid-back atmosphere. There are a few pieces of art, big and small, which carry a charming old-school style while being suitably vampiric and cohesive in design. Equally atmospheric, relaxed yet thematically appropriate is the background music mimicking ambient sounds with a slightly eerie tune. The remaining sound design is less thematic though it carries the charm of retro solitaire and similar casual games. The final few levels are quite challenging and require a large amount of rng luck to beat without Wild Cards and Jokers, though by then you should have accumulated so much coin that you can simply buy what you need without much trouble. I would have liked to maybe see a few more permanent upgrades in the shop given just how much coin I still had by the end. There’s a decent amount of different obstacles, though only the ice cards really set themselves apart from the other ones which are all a simple lock and key type obstacle. There are also various amounts of different arrays, which vary in difficulty on their own. The mahjong bonus levels are similar in progressive difficulty as the main ones and serve the purpose of mixing up the gameplay every now and again nicely. Though the reward for completing them is rather underwhelming being only a fixed amount of coin, when it could have at least been an amount of coin dependant on how quickly you managed to solve the level. While it’s not a necessity for casual games such as this to have a story as is the case here, I feel like there could have been at least a loose narrative thread of a vampire moving from castle to castle as they grow in power and wealth for example. Nothing extensive just a small additional motivation to continue matching the overall theme of the game. Nevertheless this is a solid retro-style solitaire game with a good amount of content that can easily keep you busy and engaged during breaks or while listening to something else in the background. In addition to that the appearance is also pleasing, thus I can recommend this game to fulfil your solitaire needs for at least ten to twenty hours.

Casual, relaxing and fun. Lots of content.

I haven't played too much so far but I wanted to post a review now so I could point out that the game seems to be working perfectly on steam deck! I went in with default settings and played for an hour straight with no issues. It's a nice, simple game that's great to pick up for a few minutes and put back down. I like the bonus mahjong levels too. I got this on sale for about $1 and it's easily worth that price.
