Jewel Match Solitaire Fantasy provides a slightly different take on the series, and even though there were recognizable traits from previous installments, I enjoyed the story elements and the fantasy magic theme which made this game appear different and interesting. As always, the Jewel Match Solitaire series is packed with content, with the chance to play the massive story campaign which has 400 stages, along with separate versions of different solitaires, supersize levels, challenge levels, match 2 levels, sliding levels, and suit and rank levels. The collectors version gives you even more of these features if you ever needed any more! These games have hundreds of hours of content if you want to tackle it all. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3503845149 I usually just stick to the story quest and delve into some of the supersize levels for a bit of extra cash to spend in the store. Having features like removing cards form the board; producing wild cards and jokers to use; increasing the number of cards in the deck; and shuffling cards; is always very useful, so I try to save up for them and buy them as soon as possible. As you go through the game you encounter villages where characters will ask you to help them solve a problem whether that might be unblocking the well or chasing away invading pirates. What ensues is a series of separate levels, much alike to the normal levels, where once completed you will receive a special award which can help you in your normal play if certain conditions are met. i.e. If you start with a King you get 2 extra cards. The story elements are nothing special in terms of a decent story but I still enjoyed the interaction between characters and the shift away from the normal stage levels. There are four difficulty levels so you can tailor your game to whatever fits your mood. If you want to time yourself or have a hard challenge then you can, or you can choose the relaxed level for more of a chill out. Some solitaire games start off way too easy and the difficulty doesn't ramp up until level 100 or something stupid, but this one is moderately difficult on normal level from the get go and even though I have mostly got through the first 50 levels without much trouble, I appreciated that it wasn't too easy either. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3519190729 Game play involves some of the usual fare like cutting ribbons, breaking chains, removing ivy, ice, and fog, having certain cards moving up in value or being unlocked after each turn, but there were also newer elements I had not seen before like a frog jumping on cards to stop you removing them, and putting out fires with a bucket of water. The game play is enjoyable and fun. The presentation is nice. There are many decks you can unlock and use in the game, along with wall papers to collect when you build castles using gems you have earned in game play.
🍳Conclusion🍳

Jewel Match Solitaire Fantasy is different enough to distinguish it from previous installments and I particularly liked the story elements in the game. I generally prefer a story running through Solitaire games so it was a welcome addition to see. If you own any of the other Jewel Match games I would still encourage you to buy this one and if you are new to the series then this is the most up to date and advanced Solitaire yet. There's more content than you will ever need and game play is fun and relaxing. Give it a go.

Curator Info:
Thank you for reading my review. I LOVED THE NEW QUESTS ❣️ I rarely completed any of the Jewel Match Solitaire Quest Challenges in previous games because I wasn't a fan of the Solitaire Variants offered. The goals for those quests were difficult to achieve without replaying the level multiple times, and it just wasn't my idea of fun. Jewel Match Solitaire: Fantasy was definitely my idea of fun because the Quest Challenges are presented as stories that occur on your journey, progressing over ten Higher/Lower Solitaire levels! 🛖
HIGH/LOW SOLITAIRE-Main Game Details
The main game consists of 200 solitaire levels that can be played in Normal, Hard, Relaxed, and Timed Modes. You will uncover various amounts of Jewels on each level that are used to purchase and build those infamous Jewel Match Castles, a small section at a time. Easily the finest of the Jewel Match solitaire games. The addition of the villages and quests is nice. I'm really disappointed though that there are no saves to the cloud. I like to play on my desktop during the day and my laptop as a nightcap in bed. With this game I must have two different game saves running.
This is my initial review after playing for 2 hours - It's really pretty much like the other Jewel Match games. The game mechanics seem to be mostly the same. The new addition of having people give you quests to complete is minor. You still play solitaire hands. One thing that seems to me to be different is how they calculate your winning rewards. Especially during challenges, super sizes, match 2, etc. It feels to me like the resulting gold is less than it used to be. And the game is still rigged to not give you the cards you need when you most need them. I expected that; it's always been part of Jewel Match. I recommend it to folks like myself that just want to play every Jewel Match that is released. To others, you may find it too grindy. Or become frustrated that the hands are rigged in the computer's favor. I bought it on sale, and I'd recommend you do the same.
Solitaire's the only game in town And every road that takes me, takes me down While life goes on around me everywhere I'm playing Solitaire.
Great game play, beautiful graphics. Loaded with extras. Good value for the money if you like this kind of game.
It is quite different to the other solitaire games you have a running story going through it and the small villages along the way adds to the story really different and the creatures that help you through the levels what a great idea love the stories and narratives not quite to the end of the main game also what is different to your norm is the colours you use not so bright easy on the eyes im hoping your next one out is similar to this thank you
Great game, as usual from Suricate. Lots of levels and the story adds to the game play. Highly recommend if you like Solitaire card games. I love and own all the Jewel Match games.
Easy to 100% complete, enjoyable variety of levels. I've been enjoying all the jewel match games thus far and this is a great addition to the franchise
I love all the Jewel Match games and this one is a good one! The mechanics are pretty much the same as their other Solitaire games with a few new twists (like that darn hopping frog). This time though, as you travel along the Levels pathway, you will make stops in small villages, meet characters and perform quests. The artwork here reminds me of the "Hero of the Kingdom" and "Lost Tales" games, which I really like. Everything is smooth and enjoyable and if I was to find a negative, it would be that the music loop, though beautiful, is much too short and becomes repetitive if you play for an extended period (although one music section makes me think of my favorite game "Eastshade", so I don't mind hearing it over and over). For the price you get hours of game play with multiple variants of Solitaire games included. Definitely recommend!
