The best, beautiful, balanced, and challenging solitaire game of the Jewel Match Series! They really do get better and better...
Happy :]
So far I like it very much to relax a little bit. At normal level, it is less annoying than its predecessor - at the end of the game you can buy some additional cards. More details later.
just a nice solid game
Another great game with plenty of levels and bonus games. Relaxing, with some challenging levels and bonus games. No glitches or technical difficulties.
Although a fine game, it suffers from the same flaw that every other game in this series does, namely levels that you're simply not going to complete without a ridiculous amount of luck. If the maker of this game ever reads this comment, I'm curious to know the logic in having levels that you are never going to complete without ridiculous amounts of luck. Seriously. What's the point? What could possibly motivate you to rig levels to make them borderline impossible to clear? Someone in this company, I’m dying to hear from you; explain to me why in the hell you think adding in such levels makes your game better?
There's a ton of content in Winterscapes 2 (Collector's Edition), and it's really high quality. You can feel just how much effort has been put into the game. The music is perfect, the artwork is gorgeous and there are so many finely crafted animations. It's easy to get absorbed in this wintery wonderland! As for the gameplay, well, the main campaign is the familiar +1/-1 style of solitaire. Satisfaction comes from getting high combos while frustration comes from the many different ways that cards are "locked" (e.g. you need a scissors card to cut the ribbon on another card). There's a shop in which you can spend your gold to get various perks and upgrades, and there are winter scenes that come to life as you earn gems to reveal different parts of the picture. Levels also have a three-star system for perfectionists. As you work your way through the hundreds of levels, you unlock other kinds of solitaire games, and even quests, so there's plenty of variety. I can totally see how people put over 100 hours into this game. And this is just one of a series of Jewel Match Solitaire games. It's my first dip into the series, but I'm sure I'll pick up a different one when the winter season ends. Strong recommendation, especially during sales. 10/10
