Jade Empire™: Special Edition

Needs to be patched for modern systems but you can get it working with some effort. Fantastic story, writing, characters, and setting... earning its recommendation. However, the combat mechanics are clunky, progression mechanics are boring and unfulfilling, and the mini games seem out of place. This game's setting deserves a modern revival, a sequel with expanded environments, combat, progression, and loot would be effin' amazing!

el juego esta muy mal adaptado, para ser un juego que se jugaba en el primer Xbox (caja negra) va fatal en una pc decente, el juego va a 4 frames por segundo. no se si mi personaje esta practicando artes marciales o baila el baile del robot (pero con las articulaciones oxidadas).

Nostalgique de Kotor 1 et 2, le moteur de rendu et les mécaniques ne m'ont pas du tout dérangé. C'est plus ambitieux (nombre de PNJ, complexité des cartes et paysage) et bien que privilégiant la magie, j'ai passé un très bon moment avec les nombreuses techniques de combat rapproché. Le lore est très généreux tout en restant facultatif, très bon équilibre !

Being a console gamer when this came out, I remember xbox somehow feeling more sophisticated (or something) than playstation because of the games that were out. Jade Empire wasnt on PS2, and neither was Morrowind. They were on Xbox though. Along with KOTOR these games ended up being a lot of my childhood among others. JE was THE martial arts RPG per se at that time. It really hasnt aged as well as some other games, even with the updated version, but its still worth a play or 2. The morality system alone offers a lot of diversity in playthroughs.

Very good old game. Used to play this on original xbox. Runs great on my older hardware. Only issue I ran into was when I attempted to launch the first time it would say, "Failed to find Steam." I had to copy the "steam.dll" file over to the "Jade Empire" directory. After doing that I was easily able to launch it from steam or the desktop Icon.

Je joue depuis des années à ce jeu (sur console pour commencer) donc quand j'ai su qu'il était disponible en version pc, je n'ai pas hésité. L'histoire est prenante et on ne compte pas ses heures sur ce jeu qui reste intemporel à mes yeux.
