About

World War One expands to the mountains of the Italian Front - beautiful but deadly in equal measure. Take part in key offensives of the Great War, from the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo to the Strafexpedition, and lead your team to victory among the scenic landscapes and peaks of Northern Italy.
Isonzo is a realistic tactical multiplayer FPS crafted by BlackMill Games, known for their critically acclaimed authentic WW1 wargames such as Verdun and Tannenberg. Immerse yourself in faithful recreations of historical battles with intense 48-player matches, testing your tactical skills and mastery of Alpine warfare.

Decide your path to victory: whether you’re leading the offensive with grenades or using mountain trails to flank enemy positions, you have options. Dive into combat or take a supporting role cutting barbed wire and crewing heavy machine guns and mortars. Thanks to a unique flare gun system, mark targets for artillery strikes or biplane flybys, before charging in to finish the job at close quarters with bayonets or trench clubs.

Choose from six distinct classes and build your loadout from a selection of 50+ iconic WW1 weapons, along with historically accurate equipment and perks specific to each class. Play as a Marksman to pick off soldiers from afar, storm enemy lines with the Assault class, issue tactical orders as an Officer, and much more.

After choosing a class, make it your own by picking from a large variety of role-appropriate uniforms, accessories and headgear. As a finishing touch, you can even pick your mustache from several famous wartime styles!

From hillside fortresses to mountain trenches and city streets, fight through varied Alpine landscapes inspired by historical battles. Learn the lay of the land to maintain cover and surprise your enemies - or go a step further to shape a dynamic battlefield by placing sandbags, barbed wire and ammo crates. Trench periscopes and sniper shields offer even more tactical options, but beware of poisonous gas attacks and artillery barrages!
Taking inspiration from the years-long struggle for control of the Alps during World War One, Isonzo brings the authenticity of the conflict to all players. Everything is recreated based on research and field trips, from sound effects, weapons and uniforms down to the houses, vineyards and trenches you’ll be fighting over. Choose your side and immerse yourself in History!

Enlist for more First World War action with the other standalone titles in the WW1 Game Series: Gallipoli, Tannenberg and Verdun. Engage in expeditionary warfare on the Middle Eastern Front with Gallipoli, maneuver for control of key sectors in Tannenberg on the Eastern Front OR Dive into the trenches along the Western Front in Verdun. Choose from a range of squads from across the war, as they fight for control of the ever-changing frontlines.

really enjoy this game a few things that need to be worked out like spawning. when you spawn you can be put right in the open even when there's a trench two meters to the right. and peaking over cover when you are in crouch. especially when you a have a gun with a tripod. i wish it had a system like Rising Storm 2 Vietnam in terms of the issues I said earlier. that game has a really fluid feel to the movement and combat. I think some notes from that game would make this game series amazing. I've been playing since Verdun and love these games.
Cant recommend this. There are only people running around with machine guns or sniping you from across the map. While you cannot see them with your puny rifle. This is not fun. This is clearly a case of a Multiplayer shooter. That has been out for a while. That is not fun for new players. Because of an old elite that is ruining balance and fun for new players. Not worth your time or money. It is also just battlefield in ww1. It is too fast paced for a ww1 shooter. Also a point to mention is the grind. The grind to get new stuff is very heavy. Also not fun. So you just have an rifle. While the other dude has machine guns or SMGs to mow you down with.
Don't ask a women her age, a man his salary or BlackMill where they got their blood-curdling scream sfxs from
Very fun and unique. Lots of different fun mechanics, cool maps and great sound design. Every match is different from the last. All of this makes it really immerssive and makes it stand out even from AAA FPS games.
you had a delay for 2 months when is gallipoli going to come out
Honestly just buy Bf1, its just that but split into multiple games for a quick buck
i only needed to play one or two matches of this game to judge this game, it feels like battlefield 1 but with its own twist on the game, and honestly, i found myself thinking the maps on this game is probably way better than battlefield 1, now if im in the mood for battlefield 1 i think im more likely i might hop on this to be honest, the maps on this game have a really really expressed verticality so your fighting on mountain tops, theres snow mountains, forest fire mountains, the terrain is awesome and the use of many things like cutting wires to get through blockades and trenches, the hit register, myself i love the bolt action war era and most guns in this game feel like Hunt Showdown weapons. the games beautiful, im waiting for gallipoli to release and i didnt realize it was the addition to this trilogy, but i slept on this game hard and im glad i gave it a try! the only downside is the playerbase is small, but late at night on the most dead time of the night i found a full match and had a blast, these tight knit communities are very chill.
