About
The Story So Far…
It’s the 38th century. Earth is legend, long lost to time. Humanity now clings to survival on terraformed Mars — a world ruled by the Pentateuch, five cyber-priests who crushed dissent and built a brutal technocracy.
But rebellion sparked in the shadows.
The Ironseed Movement, a group of exiles, created a virus to dismantle the planetary AI systems and escaped aboard a stolen prototype starship. Their plan: vanish into deep space and wait for the technocracy to collapse. They were never heard from again.
Now, the story continues…
You awaken alone, drifting in a crippled ship. The systems are offline. Weapons: gone. Memory: fragmented. The crew? Scattered — you are jettisoned into deep space under unknown circumstances.
This wasn’t the original ship. It’s a backup, a failsafe — secretly loaded with your crew’s preserved minds in illegal containment vessels, and launched in parallel. A second chance... but barely.
You are the captain. Your first task: recover your crew.
Only together can you rebuild the ship, uncover the truth, and determine what comes next. There’s no clear destination. No home to return to. Just a fragile hope that somewhere out there, life can begin again.
Ironseed: Consensus is a sci-fi RPG of survival, exploration, and rebuilding in the aftermath of escape. Travel procedurally generated star systems, retrieve your lost crew, and forge a new path forward — through debate, disagreement, and ultimately, consensus.
Survival is only the beginning.

An excellent, exploration-focused game with terrific writing and compelling gameplay.
didn't know the IP prior (which means i also don't know the prequel, although i'm certainly old enough) it is basicaly a hybrid between a text-based-adventure game and a strategy simulation (kinda) you are "captain" of your ship and command several crew stations (engineering, science, crew, etc.) and their "staff" (trying to avoid spoilers) which in essence means you get a hughe sector map, having star-systems (and more), with each star system having (atleast) multiple planets, etc. to venture to your job is basicaly to command probes, command your crew to science stuff, craft and disassemble while you mange their health (each crew-member got characteristics like physique, emotional stability, mental health) via all sorts of durgs (each stat can go from low to very high and you want to balance em out which in turn averts em breaking and makes em more viable for tasks/faster). crew levels up and you get the option to encode (store) or restore (load) em anytime you want. meanwhile you get confrontent with scenarios to (optional) solve alonge the way, like encountering crew deep beneath the crust of a planet, which means you gotta craft a respective drill (which involves disambling, fabricating and sciencing artifacts). everything is presented very well. the dev nailed the space-sim athmosphere (which drew me to the game to begin with...and the Asimov-sounding plot/scenario). the visuals, ambience and OST got exactly the right feeling; the scale, emptyness and mystery instead of the sound and color explosions more action-oriented space games sport. think more Elite Dangerous less NMS it is not an action game; as you progress and get more "crew" things speed up alot, but that mostly means progress bars move faster: there is no shooting or dodging involved. frankly i never played a game like this, but i'm loving it. perfect for a long night and some coffee, less for the gogogo-crowd. things like sending out probes or travling through the void are quite neatly animated and the style of the UI and the 2D art for portraits looks quite good (although i guess there was a lot of A.I. involved). if you want/like what the tags suggest: exploration, space sim and strategy rpg you realy can't go wrong here the scenario and the writing are also realy invoking Asimov in all the best ways
Nice game, kind of a clicker/point and click/menu based game, you gather artefacts, research them, manage your crew and get lore and missions. The game is all mouse based. I don't know if i am very far in the game, it is pretty laid back and i am curious about where the story leads. A slow burner, very relax, cool stuff.
