About
While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

Finis en Ultra. Super jeu, dans la lignée des Duke Nukem, les armes ont plutôt un bon feeling. Bien que le jeu respecte énormément ses prédécesseurs, Blood, Shadow Warrior, etc... je trouve que les secrets sont une prise de tête absurde, ils sont vraiment durs à trouver, j'ai finis le jeu avec environ +30% de secrets, sans guide ni rien, et je n'ai aucune envie de pousser plus que ça. La faute en revient surtout qu'on puisse retourner dans les niveaux précédents dans un seul et même épisode...Ce qui rends l'exploration assez frustrante, nous ne sommes plus sur un jeu qui se finis de map en map, où on ne peut plu revenir en arrière, là tout est ouvert jusqu'à ce qu'on voit le message "il vous reste xx secrets dans cette phase avant de battre le boss" ; Est ce que j'ai envie de passer au peigne fin, de longer tous les murs, de chercher le moindre boutons, dans un seul chapitre qui est composé de plusieurs maps ? Pour choper les 18 secrets (oui oui 18) dans plusieurs map ? Non. Et je n'ai aucune envie de mettre une vidéo à coté pour faire pareil...Hors de question. Ce qui m'a gêné aussi c'est qu'on ne puisse pas transporter plus objets utilisables sur nous, à part les radars et 4 medikit portable, plus un seul objet à usage unique, ça fais court comparé à ce qu'on pouvait avoir dans Duke Nukem (hologramme, jet pack, soin, steroid etc...). Car non seulement on est limité dans ses objets, il y a des bottes de double sauts, qui sont elles aussi limités dans le temps, 30 secondes, donc forcément, on devrait toujours avoir une paires de bottes de saut sur nous, car on loupe tous les secrets, même si les bottes repop dans un certains endroits, caché en général, il faut à chaque fois revenir choper les bottes, pour refaire d'autres grandes phases d'explorations de secrets... Et c'est chiant !

Really just a blast to play. Combat is super fun, the secrets are great to hunt down and the environment has enjoyable quirks. Very solid.

One of the best boomer shooters out there. Fun weapons & enemies, difficulties for any skill level (angel of death is something else), tons of maps... I love this game!
Explode all fire extinguishers, lower all toilet lids. A solid mix of DN3D and Blood. Awesome soundtrack. It was a smart idea to get a demoscener on board for a retro styled game like this. Nails the vibe hard lending a little Unreal/Deus Ex feel. And as you can tell from it being <100MB this is the real deal. This isn't some imitation made in Unity but actual Build Engine.
