SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide

After recently completing SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake, I came straight to Titans of the Tide, albeit with a little sour taste in my mouth because I didn't really enjoy Cosmic Shake to much. I am going to apologise in advance because I am going to compare this to Cosmic Shake a lot. Titans of the Tide was MUCH more enjoyable than Cosmic Shake, in my honest opinion and I will explain all of this below, so let's get to it! [h1][b] What I liked/Pros [/b][/h1] ⚫This adventure with SpongeBob SquarePants has us in the middle of a feud with the Flying Dutchman and King Neptune. It HAS a good little story to follow. It's consistent from start to finish. ⚫The locations you visit are vibrant and colourful. All of which you can explore freely. Tackle challenges, side quests and collect to your hearts content. ⚫You can SEAMLESSLY swap between SpongeBob and Patrick. It's so smooth. ⚫The combat in this game compared to Cosmic Shake was really refreshing. Being able to swap between SpongeBob straight to Patrick to grab an enemy to throw then right back to SpongeBob to bubble them (and so much more) with the press of a button... oh man. This is the type of combat Cosmic Shake should have had. ⚫The platforming in Titans of the Tide compared to Cosmic Shake is such a difference. Its so much more fun. I personally think it's because of the seamless character swapping and how well the mechanics blend. ⚫The dialogue in Titans of the Tide actually made me laugh! ⚫The original Voice actors are back again and I have to say... they done a damn fine job here! They knocked it right out the water!! ⚫SEMI-SPOILER - [spoiler] for finding all the TV's you get a song called "Titans of the Tide" which is sung by David Hasselhoff. It's a sea shanty-style track! I LOVED IT! (What shall we do with a drunken sailor) [/spoiler] [h1][b] What I didn't like/Cons [/b][/h1] ⚫Again, just like Cosmic Shake... Titans of the Tide has the exact same enemies that are all just "bigger" versions of the last one. Instead of "blue jelly" in Cosmic Shake, picture them "GREEN" (ghostly). You never fight King Neptune's people... only Ghosts sadly. ⚫No "coop". Which is a damn shame. I get it though... but if this was coop this would have been amazing. ⚫For £34.99 I'd expect my game to be a bit longer to be fair. What I am saying is, it's a little short. [h1][b] My Verdict/TL;DR [/b][/h1] SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is a much better game than Cosmic Shake, in my honest opinion. It was an absolute blast from start to finish. Better combat, better platforming, seamless character switching with great mechanics, good exploration... what can I say? I personally loved Titans of the Tide! The only things that let it down a little is the fact it does nothing to truly innovate the 3D platformer genre (for a new game of course). No coop is a bummer, length and price of the game could be a bit longer and less expensive and the enemy variety could be better. After that's said - I would recommend Titans of the Tide to any SpongeBob fan as this game was fun, funny and that "SONG" just made collecting worth it! [h1][b] 8/10! SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide is a much better experience than Cosmic Shake! [/b][/h1]

Well, it may be stupid, but it’s also dumb.

While Cosmic Shake tried to replicate Battle for Bikini Bottom and failed by accidentally replicating the bad parts of the other SpongeBob platformers, this game feels like it leaned more towards the good parts of them. This game also is not Battle For Bikini Bottom 2, it feels like a spiritual successor to the console Movie Game and Flying Dutchman's Revenge. While it does still have a handful of the negative parts of the aforementioned games, it's mostly a giant improvement. The references are less constant and annoying, and the world designs are much better as a whole. Game feels very polished and consistent. There's not much to say about the game, and that's due to its biggest flaw: playtime. In just about 8 hours I was able to 100% this game. While that's good for people that don't have much time to play games, it kinda makes this feel like a waste of money. I couldn't in good conscious recommend this game at full price, however I got it for 10$, which felt like a steal. Overall, massive improvement over Cosmic Shake, despite the major flaw it has. I would recommend to anyone interested in platformers without hesitation.

This is a great game. It's the best game based on SpongeBob. If you're a developer and you're reading this review, please take note of what I'm saying. You've done a great job by allowing players to switch between characters quickly and dynamically. The levels have become more expansive, offering more opportunities. This multi-faceted freedom of action and dynamic movement is truly impressive. Keep up the good work. but. YOU ALSO HAVE PROBLEMS! The sound and music in the game are very poorly made. Especially during cutscenes. The music is also very poor during boss battles. The bosses are also very boring. The only decent boss is the squirrel monster Sandy. The other bosses are just boring nonsense. In future games, make bosses that can be fought like the squirrel monster Sandy. The mini-games are also very boring. if you make the next game about sponge bob. then make it about the very first full-length cartoon about sponge bob from 2004. I think you can make a great game in your style and with a new modern vibe

Есть 2 проблемы в игре, первая критичная вторая на подсосе Первая Мало Уровней, та и в принципе контента Вторая Много багов Как будто игру делали молясь на том что люди сожрут, и многие сожрали в принципе как и я

Батя с батей поссорились и теперь всё в зеленой эктоплазме. Уже третья часть Спанчбоба! На удивление не кажется вторичным и многократно переваренным. Многие локации повторяются, но привносят что-то новое. Удачное решение переключаться между персонажами одной кнопкой, а не идти на точку переключения или сегментировать геймплей. Так же удачное решение упростить сражение, сделав простых мобов с 1 хп, чтобы заварушки с ними не казались ареной выживания. Много секретов, особого юмора, тупых диалогов. Монетки собирать не заставляют, к концу игру у вас будет лишние тыщ 10, за что опять же спасибо, что не надо их отрабатывать. Из минусов что бросаются в глаза это наверно то что создатели давно забыли, что мы под водой, и та же Сэнди вне костюма, которая хоть и буйная, но под водой дышать не должна...

очень люблю игры с губкой бобом. это моя вторая игра, которая тоже безумно понравилась! веселый и незамысловатый сюжет, красочные бои с боссами. местами бесили некоторые сложные моменты со слайдом по дороге вниз, но терпимо. посмеялась от души, расслабилась и заняла себя на 6 часиков))) хотя сюжет суммарно на часов 5. остальное было потрачено на некоторую часть достижений, но я казуал, поэтому влом было собирать все. спасибо другу, который подарил мне игру)))
