About

While Shelly "Bombshell" Harrison earned her codename defusing bombs for the Global Defense Force, when evil transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel unleashes the members of his cybernetic cult onto the streets of Neo D.C., she knows it's time to start causing explosions instead of preventing them.
Her quest to slay Heskel leaves a trail of carnage throughout huge, multi-path levels filled with gigantic explosions, more secret areas than we can count, and inhuman foes behind every corner. There's no regenerating health here; stop taking cover and start running and gunning.
Shelly's crusade to take down Heskel's army will see her leave destruction in her wake with a wide arsenal of weapons, complete with alternate fire modes and different ammo types. Her signature revolver, the tri-barreled Loverboy, brings enemies pain and players pleasure with both single shots and Old West-style hammer fanning action. Who needs a regular shotgun when you can load buckshot into your grenade launcher? Violent, over-the-top Bowling Bombs rip enemies apart with ease.
Ion Fury laughs at the idea of mandatory checkpoints and straight paths through shooting galleries. But, just because this is a true old-school first-person shooter doesn't mean we've ignored all the good new stuff the last two decades have brought. Headshots? Hell yeah. More physics and interactivity? You betcha. Widescreen, controller support, and auto saves? 3D Realms and Voidpoint have taken the best of both worlds and cooked it all into a bloody stew.

Reviews
Great aesthetics and level design. Lots of vents to crawl around in, objects to interact with, alternate paths and secrets to find. A lot of Boomer Shooters have an issue with maze-like levels but the majority of Ion Fury's are visually distinct with clever shortcuts. The platforming puzzles are challenging and mostly for optional secrets but they are well worth going for and not overly time consuming with the quick save. The weapons are a mixed bag but all come in handy if you know how to use them. Despite a couple guns feeling 'off' all of them provide satisfying gibs and create a wide range of shootout scenarios.
Very diverse enemies, guns, and scenery. Non-stop action as expected. Some maps are too big, though, and their narrative cohesion is not good. As the protagonist herself said at some point: the enemy has too many complexes. You escape one complex only to find yourself in another deeper and bigger complex. But a very nice game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I have always preferred the build engine games over the ID games because the level design aren't stupid mazes and being able to aim the gun upwards actually made it feel like an FPS.

Fun throwback retro boomer-shooter, what else is there to say?
if you r a fan of dukenukem 3D, this is a must buy. same great kind of game, but with improved smoother gameplay. and same attention to detail in the map and enemy designs. each level is deep and well done, and the weapons r great to use. the personality of harrison is great too. and the music is aprobriatly 90s. this is a 10/10 boomer shooter.
Very Boomy. Very Shooty. Much Enjoy.
A lovely callback to when games were just fun. Simple, uncomplicated fun. A time when you got the whole game in the box with no DLC, no MTX, no nonsense. Just a fun, tough as nails shooter that lifts the spirits and gets the blood pumping.
I took my time before purchasing Ion Fury and I regret not playing it sooner! This game is a wonderful love letter to classic first person shooter games from the mid-1990s and is full of tight gunplay, fast action and great level design. I highly recommend this 'modern' masterpiece.
