"As a solo game developer, I've created this small but punchy arena shooter, featuring two distinct game modes. It may not be a huge game, but it's designed to deliver a solid and engaging experience. Enjoy the challenge and have fun!"

Already completed the game on Normal. It's a good little game. Could use an Endless mode, to be honest. I'd love to keep going after
Stage 20
. Loved it overall. One nitpick I have to give is some clash in the artstyle, where some enemies don't really look like they have the same artstyle as others.
This game is excellent. Every single mechanic adds to the greater whole. It's very clear the developers played a lot of this game and knew exactly what made it fun. Also the amount of depth and engagement you get compared to how many inputs you have(Movement keys and both mouth buttons) is insane, It feels expertly crafted.
It is so, so, so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun.
I was browsing the Steam Summer Sale like I usually do when I came across Impaler Gold for a ridiculously cheap price. As someone who loves boomer shooters, I figured I'd give it a shot. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much—I thought it would be one of those games that's not bad, but nothing special because of how cheap it was. I couldn't have been more wrong. This game is so damn fun that I'm not even sure where to start. Impaler Gold is a fast-paced boomer shooter with two different modes, campaign and a time trial mode. The first campaign has 20 stages and can easily be finished in around 30 minutes, while the second has 16 levels and takes about 15–20 minutes. So yes, it's a short game, but it's also incredibly replayable. There are plenty of unlockable skills that change the way you play and keep each run feeling fresh. The game is challenging too, but in a fair way. It never felt frustrating to me—it always felt like my mistakes were the reason I died. There are also Hard and Nightmare difficulties if you're looking for an even bigger challenge. I haven't tried Nightmare yet, but both Normal and Hard felt really satisfying. As you play, you'll unlock new guns, but the most interesting weapon isn't a gun at all—it's the spear ability. You can summon giant spears from the ground to damage enemies, which is already pretty cool. But the best part is using them on yourself. Launching yourself into the air with your own spears feels incredible, almost like using the Gravity Gun from Half-Life, except you're constantly flying around the arena. Once you get the hang of it, the movement becomes ridiculously fun and adds a whole new layer to the combat. At the end of the day, Impaler Gold is a short, replayable, and ridiculously fun boomer shooter that costs next to nothing. If you're even remotely interested in old-school FPS games, I highly recommend picking it up. And honestly, games like this deserve support. It's made with passion, it's fun from start to finish, and it's proof that you don't need a huge budget to make an awesome game. Play it. Support developers who make games like this. 9/10
Meh, not enough variety to keep me entertained for too long.
