The first level is truly impressive, a real technological showcase for Unreal Engine. But you quickly get into the heart of the game, and it becomes deeply boring. No technical issues, it runs very well on my PC. It is just dull, nothing new and interesting after 90mn. Do I recommend it? Uh, no.
The game has decent reviews overall, but for some reason I feel like I remember some drama or something around its release. Anyway... that is what made me not rush to the game. But this game is great! It's not like... super deep, but it's fun, it's a bit funny... and the game play experience is top notch. Runs great. Looks great. Sounds great. Sensible controls and interaction scheme. I really have no complaints. This is a great game.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Looks great but i couldn't get past the lame intro - an hour in and the writing/acting is like some teens from the Cali Valley.
This game is a breath of fresh air in the current climate. The devs are not out to suck away all your free time on a live service, IP based single player experience; rather, they are content to provide you with some solid gameplay, a good progression system, and an interesting original story. I picked this game up during its current sale for $5 and am so far having a blast. I extremely recommend this game at this price point, but would have trouble doing the same at full price. If you are reading this review while a sale is on and are debating making an uninformed, seat-of-your-pants purchase like I did, then rest assured because this game is definitely worth it.

It's rare that I end a game reflecting mostly negatively on it. The essence of it boils down to disappointment and a clash between my expectations and the game. It's all just missed potential to me, which is sad given the studio has been closed and the IP effectively dead. The most interesting element of the game was its setting, which I felt was let down by a lack of exploration of said setting in the story and game. There are 5 kingdoms but we only see 3, and the differences are only cosmetic (sunny with grass vs snow vs desert). We hardly explore anything of this world, there aren't even significant optional texts to find and read. We meet like no characters from these kingdoms either, aside from one where a bunch of lore is teased but not elaborated upon further. We get small tidbits at most, often to keep the plot flowing, but no real exploration of the lore. Moreover, the main character becomes member of the prestigious Immortal Order, which apparently consists of a grand total of 5 members? One of which appears once for 2 minutes of optional dialogue. This all gives me the impression that the studio struggled with the scale of their setting. The game also disappoints me with the very unserious tone it has chosen, which clashed with the stakes it sets up. Even in the finale the characters are joking around. It's really egregious and I'm not a fan. The final element of disappointment comes from the execution of the story within the game. Honestly, on paper the story appears solid to me. The problem is that I prefer the story on paper over the implementation of it in game. Cutscenes are poorly directed, transitions in and out of cutscenes are questionable. Combined with the unserious tone it makes for poor viewing. That brings me to the elephant in the room. How did this game have a budget of 125 million? There's not a single aspect of the game that impressed me, even ignoring the subjective opinion on setting, story and execution. Obviously it's sad that the studio is closed and can never try to make a better version, but 125 million for what feels like AA quality and poor sales makes it no wonder why EA pulled the plug. Don't get me wrong, one can definitely have fun with the game. The combat is fun and the game doesn't really drag at any point which is a pitfall many games fall into. But ultimately I expected something different and could not be swayed by what the game is and was trying to be.
I really like a lot about this game. Mechanically, it is phenomenal. The movement and "gunplay" of the different weapons you get in the game are a lot of fun, and the interplay between different magical armors that enemies get and the corresponding weapon to strip them feel -really- good. This game has one severely fatal flaw however, that is that the writing of this RPG is atrocious. The world building is fine, not great, but fine. It tries to do something unique and I don't fault it for that, even if they don't pull it off super well. But the dialogue of this game? Truly awful. CW level millenial speak writing that is just soooooo bad. You can get fantastic performers like Gina Torres to say whatever you want, its not going to make it any more bearable. And every character is a massive idiot that makes the worst decision at every turn, and the character you play is the worst offender. A completely insufferable story that prevents me from recommending this game unless you are the kind of person to literally skip all the cutscenes in a game and just want to play for the gameplay (which again, is phenomenal). Also, the character design is pretty bad, with all the characters seemingly designed to look as ugly as possible, except the main character and one or maybe two others. There is one character that literally looks like Shrek that they indicate other people in the world find attractive. Absolutely insane. In conclusion, only buy if you think you can slog through one of the worst game stories you will ever encounter.
Have you ever wanted a Fantasy FPS game? Well, this is it. You "shoot" magic of varying colors. [Red, Green, Blue]. Each one corresponding to an ammo type - Red = Shotgun/Close Quarters, Green = Fast/Rapid-SMG, Blue = Precision/Sniper/Battle Rifle. This game has one of the most beautiful worlds I've seen to date. The colors, the fauna, even the evil stuff has a sense of beauty in it. That said, I'm put off by the quippy dialogue choices that the protagonist has. But then again, I'm more of a shoot now, ask questions later kind of person, so it doesn't bother me too much. My one gripe so far is that the game needs some sort of auto-aim / snapping, even if just a little, since I'm primarily a controller player when it comes to non-PVP type FPS games. All things considered, I got the game on sale (as of 3/16/26) and I couldn't be happier. I wrote the game off at first, because it looked like another generic title, but it's got charm. 7.5/10 [Games similar to it] Ghostwire Tokyo Bullestorm (in a way, because it has a leash that pulls enemies in) If Dragon Age Veilguard was FPV
I learned of this game via a negative video review I came across, so I wrote it off for a good while. But I'm glad I revisited during a sale because this is good stuff! It starts out feeling a bit simplistic but it keeps building on itself with new abilities and enemies and also a story that keeps escalating until the final third which has several epic events and twists. The game looks gorgeous and, despite some reviews saying it's unoptimized, it was buttery smooth on my system with an RTX 4070. During the cutscenes my internal fans would really spin up, suggesting they didn't put any framerate caps on them (a common mistake in menu systems and similar). But once I got back to the actual gameplay everything would quiet down. The cutscenes can get a little longwinded at times, and you can't skip them, but it all helps build the story which gets more and more grand as you go. There are a lot of puzzles to be solved and it's impossible to solve several of them until you reach a certain point in the game and unlock an ability. That was annoying because it wasn't always clear and I wasted some time trying to figure some of them out before moving on. But they're fun to solve, once you're able to. I had somewhat low expectations based on some reviews, and the early game made me think maybe it was going to be too rudimentary, but after a while I was hooked and having a lot of fun.
