Reviews
This game is cool and fun and feels good to play! I did not 100% it as the optional bosses got too difficult for me but I'm really happy with the 20+ hours I spent with the game. The setting and characters remind me of the Jak and Dexter games (complimentary) but the first person gameplay is obviously much different. All the equipment variety is nice to find ones that feel good for your play style, but I wish it was easier to tell at a glance how equipment compares (beyond the provided raw damage, fire rate, and ammo numbers). Puzzles are sometimes complicated and almost always satisfying to solve. A few of the optional puzzles were less straightforward and led to me stumbling into solutions by what felt like chance. The writing is decent and the story is fun, if a bit predictable. The characters at times are hardly more than charicatures, but great performances (and great performance capture) keep scenes interesting and fun to watch. The themes of loyalty and morality are meaningful but neither deep or subtle.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 30: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It feels like the developers wanted set pieces more than a game. I honestly couldnt be bothered to engage in the thin story after my 200th copy of one of 3 enemy types: fast runner, big stunner, thin sniper. Final nail was the terrible performance for a not so pretty game. You can run like crap if you're top fidelity, but this is not.
Generic UE5 stutter fest, neither worth your time, nor your money. Don't even grab it on sale.
Palpable performance issues, the map menu is awful and I would have liked to get an important exploration tool earlier than chapter 8. BUT. Honestly the game is very, VERY fun (gameplay loop didnt get boring even after 18 hours) and the story actually kinda slaps. Voice acting is super good, dialogue flows well and is mostly natural (can be a lil cringy sometimes, sure. it's not for everyone). There is a NG+ option, which is always pretty great. Graphically it is very pretty, but in combination with the performance issues I can't highlight that bit too much unfortunately. It's a travesty what happened with the game's reception. No joke, this game deserves so much better.
Immortals of Aveum is a first-person magic shooter that tries to merge the pacing of modern action games with a fantasy setting built around spellcasting instead of guns. The premise follows Jak, a street-level thief turned battlemage, who is pulled into a large-scale conflict known as the Everwar. The narrative focuses on personal growth and political intrigue, giving the campaign a clear emotional through-line even when the worldbuilding becomes dense. The core appeal is its spell-based combat. Instead of traditional firearms, you wield three color-coded schools of magic that fill the roles of shotgun, rifle, and rapid-fire weapons. Each school has several abilities and alternate modes that can be layered together, and the game encourages constant switching. Encounters feel fast and aggressive, with mobility and timing playing a large role. Progression is skill-tree driven. You earn points to enhance specific spell archetypes or unlock new tactical options. The system adds variety without overwhelming you with unnecessary complexity. Gear and sigils provide additional stat tuning so you can lean into burst damage, control effects, or survivability depending on your preferred rhythm. Level design is mostly linear, but optional rooms and traversal puzzles break up the action. These segments use magical tools gained through the story, creating Metroid-like backtracking opportunities. They are not difficult, yet they help pace the campaign and showcase the world’s visual style. The game’s presentation is one of its strengths. Environments feature bright color palettes, crystalline structures, and sprawling battlegrounds. Spell effects are elaborate and readable, and the soundtrack reinforces the high-fantasy scale. Performance varies by platform, because the game relies heavily on visual effects, but recent patches have improved stability. Enemy variety is adequate. You fight armored soldiers, spectral creatures, and larger bosses that require specific spell combinations to break shields or exploit weaknesses. Combat readability stays consistent, and even chaotic fights remain manageable once you understand the color-coded systems. Immortals of Aveum succeeds when it leans into its identity as a spell-shooter with momentum-driven combat. The story is straightforward but earnest, the world is vibrant, and the progression loop is satisfying. While its linear structure and performance demands may limit its reach, the overall experience delivers a distinctive take on the first-person action genre.
If you can overlook the game's weak story, its dull dialogue, and its poorly constructed plot, you'll genuinely enjoy it. Unfortunately, the bad writing isn't easy to ignore. The gameplay and combat are fun — and I'm not usually a fan of first-person shooters, but I found myself really enjoying it. The variety of weapons and abilities is entertaining, even if somewhat limited. Visually, the game is stunning — vibrant and colorful, with excellent graphical quality. Enemy variety is decent, but they become very repetitive, and combat patterns grow stale in the final third of the game. The story is the game's biggest weakness. The way the narrative and dialogue are presented is painfully bad — almost indescribably so. In my opinion, had the developers paid more attention and care to the story, this could have been a game worthy of a score above 85. As it stands, my final rating is 75/100 — and that's being generous. I'd only recommend buying it on a very deep discount.
the particle effects combined with the gameplay is good but they seriously could've levelled up their writing in the later segments. Buy this only when its on sale
10/10 Good graphics, interesting story lane a lot of puzzles, secrets and places to come back with a new ability or spell later. Creative levels, various enemies, amazing magic fighting system. I liked this game very much.
♥♥♥♥ ass boring game. Boring story, repetitive gameplay, all weapons are almost the same. Not worth the price.
It's not "bad", but so far from being good either. It's basically a fruity version of Doom Eternal with worse writing, worse enemies, worse weapon selection, less lifeless world, and a more contrived plot. It's one of those games that you buy on sale, play it because," hey you spent a few bucks on it". But, it's toeing the line of being just entertaining enough to see it through.
