Great game. Great storytelling. Hollow and Smudge are the absolute best characters ever created! Amazing indie horror game. Well written, lovable characters! 5/5
I've already completed the demo and the full game in one sitting (kinda been binging demos and full games recently). I really enjoyed the content of both demo and full game, though I encountered a few visual issues involving things disappearing and reappearing depending on distance (parts of wheelchairs, some bins, Niccolo's picture frame, etc). The plotline definitely sat with me for some time and I really like the theme of the game in general and how it focuses on kids with imaginary friends and how society views them. One thing I'd also like to see in the game at some point would be achievements since I was thrown off at some point in the game thinking it had concluded when there was indeed more to it. Otherwise, really enjoyable game! Keep up the good work!
Overall: I started this game back in August and due to life things getting in the way, I just now finished it. But DAMN let me say, I wish I had finished it sooner. But I also don't because at least now I don't have to wait as long for the next one! Specifics: The story was really good! A couple times I laughed at the advanced vocabulary the children had, but the game was still so good that it didn't matter. I will say, the game play mechanics were simple, but easy to understand and great for the game. During dialog, there are options you can choose but it didn't seem like there were any changes to the story/interactions based on you selections. The dialog choices provided were very similar and the NPC's responses could fit either option. But having the choices did keep the game play engaging and good for stream.
This is another game I started because the streamer I was watching dropped it way too soon and I was eager to see where the story went. It's a very well thought out story that illustrates how "well-bodied" people see those different than them. I thought the character design was cool, especially how all the human characters were black silhouettes and the imaginary friends weren't. I think this game is the perfect length, so I really suggest checking it out, especially if you stream!
This is a really neat game.
