To anyone saying that a lot of the stuff thats locked behind a paywall, its only the maps. A lot of the missions that give exotics and some other premium currencies that are hard to get, can be edited into your game fairly easily, provided you do a quick google search (RocketWertz even says they dont mind you doing that, since all of the 'premium' currencies are not irl money paid, just earned). Lots of the cosmetic stuff is cheap to buy for DLC, but the expansions only have some specific missions, and a new map. The base Olympus map is great for all around building in open world. You can even make a character have every talent with maybe a few minutes if you feel like it, by editing your save files. Its a flawed game, I dont disagree, it could definitely even be a little more optimized, since its requirement of 32gb is a bit too expensive now, huh? 8/10, give it a chance, and please wait for a sale to get the DLC's
I love this game and was begging my wife and friends to play this for months. It has everything you are looking for in an open world adventure. The only fix that I would request (maybe I have not found a fix) is jumping on mounts while sprinting. I say this especially for the little cracks in the Artic Biome on Olympus or the running up sides of the hills and sliding down. Once you get around that, I love this game. Even with what I said, if you let that stop you from playing this game and not have fun, you have failed yourself.
Running around can be a bit tedious, but the gameplay is otherwise good. There are definitely bugs where kills and mounts fall through the world and die. I also had issues running the game in DirectX 12, with graphical artifacts appearing.
As someone who has put a few hours into the game I though I would chime in and write a review as I think the games negative reviews on the "spending money" on DLC is a bit disingenuous. First, you can but the base game and play through the first map to completion. No need to spend anymore money outside of that. Each of the other maps (there are 3 now), are suited as expansions for the game, and each map is it's own DLC pack that you can choose to buy if you decide you like the base game. They added a fourth expansion, The great hunt, which is a raid style expansion, but not necessary for the base game nor does it hinder your progression for finishing the maps. The outposts DLCs are completely optional (I personally have never nor plan on ever owning any). The pet DLC packs are completely optional (I own these but who doesn't love having a pet pup in their base) lol. Does the game have some jank? Of coarse. Are there still some bugs? Of coarse. I can say this though, the devs update this game weekly and there are hundreds of hours of content that I have thouroghly enjoyed. And with that getting the game and trying it is definitely worth it.
JOGO MARAVILHOSO
Game was a mid-tier survival game at best, until the recent update came out. Icarus ran fine on my pc before the update but now i get 15 fps at best after the game takes minimum 20 minutes to load up. Hard pass, unplayable. Honestly even if they patch it eventually, I probably wont bother playing again. The game did nothing special to warrant me coming back.
