its fun takes time to get the hang of it, start off with 100% bat shield on medium use one handed if using controller. also i like to use the right controller in my left hand (right hand batsmen) and when adjusting grip settings hold the bottom of the bat, you can use two hands to steady your bat but once you play a shot use one it makes it easier to hit 4's and sixes, dont be too discouraged if you cant hit sixes all the time its not that easy.

still so much to improve with this game as it so much annoys me that the batting is so questionable like you go and hit it to your left NOPE goes right, Hit it as hard as you can and get a good hit NOPE goes 1 meter literally so this game needs so much improvement

This is a fantastic game. Dont buy it from Steam. This game is really good, the immersion is great, physics work well, but the latency through Steam Connect makes it nigh unplayable. I got this game early last year on a Meta Quest 2, I really struggled to get the hang of it while guys on TikTok seemed to time sixes on Ultra Insane bowling. Eventually I got it right with about 3-4 months of hard graft I hit my first six on Medium level. I ended up dropping the game a little later as I just felt that I wasnt good enough and would never really be. Then I got Horizon+ saw the game was included and decided to give it another go. I hit a 6 off my first ball on accident. I highly recommend this game. It is so fun. Very close to the actual feeling of cricket. And you get to do stupid reverse sweeps and scoops without your teamates yelling at you. But please, if you have a Meta headset just get it through the MetaStore. Yes its like $5 more but it is so much more worth it and made the game so much more enjoyable for me. Maybe this new update has changed it, if so please let me know.

iB Cricket is a good game that has a larger potential with a few more tweaks. It's still in early access, and it definitely needs a polish in a few areas. Would like to see some of the long standing issues addressed before more functionality is added. Hopefully the Dev team aren't being pushed to bring in the $$'s rather than polishing off what could be the cricket game that everyone has to have. [*] You get to face many different bowling styles [*] Tournaments running very regularly, daily, weekly, etc... [*] Net sessions where you can setup various deliveries to practice [*] Campaign that takes you through different challenges [*] Handy bat shield to aid new and upcoming players [*] The ego kick when you thump a fast bowler for a 200m six [*] Responsive, vibrant community on Discord [/list] [b]The Cons[/b] [list] [*] Some of the animations break the realism. Like a big number 6 rotating in front of you [*] Graphics are still very cartoonish and animated [*] Physics still need a lot of work (even after latest update) [*] Ball will fly off the bat at impossible/improbable angles [*] On occasions the ball will pass through the front bat and hit the back of the bat [*] The one bowler will be super proficient at swinging and cutting the ball both ways by large unrealistic amounts [*] Mixed palette across the crowd doesn't look realistic (there are no spots where everyone is wearing team colours) [*] Crowd sound is just a constant background drone and you don't hear cheers for particular actions [*] The commentator can be annoyingly repetitive, totally inaccurate and sometimes pointless [*] There is no sound from the fielders, no on-field banter [*] There is no modelling of the batter in any form. Balls pass right through were your body would be. [*] Jerky stick men taking some improbable catches. [*] Fielders break dancing on the field while the ball rolls towards them [*] Fielders running towards a ball then stopping a letting another fielder from further away field the ball [*] Fielders being positioned in very unnatural and strange positions leaving whole areas free of fielders [*] Fielders sliding for metres to field balls. [*] Balls deviating in their path and going towards fielders [*] Balls bouncing backwards at ridiculous angles whilst rolling across the field [*] Balls hit 100's of metres over the boundary. [*] When the ball is lofted into the outfield, quite often it doesn't bounce [/list]

Game is so RNG based. The ball either gets hit directly to a fielder without him having to move an inch, regardless where the ball made contact on the bat, or the ball just goes straight through the bat as it is like it's invisible, especially on spin bowlers. Bowlers either bowl like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and you can hit them for 6 everytime (if the ball doesn't magically go through the bat), or they bowl like prime Glenn McGrath, have perfect line and length and will just get you out on every ball. When playing a defensive shot, the bat, 60% of the time will move just slightly enough and get bowled perfectly all the time. (Regardless if it's the VR's Indian street food quality controller tracking or the games, it shouldn't happen.) For a game worth 43 AUD, I much rather eat Indian street food and get sick and Tevita lay on me with his sweaty, big Tongan ass, bruh.
