Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/mxqGUDZ-mTY There are now 3 bocce games for VR. Bocce VR Simulator is the newest edition. While I haven't played the others, I can recommend this one. It's solid all around. You can play single player against AI on easy, normal, or hard difficulty or you can play local multiplayer (pass the VR headset around for 2 players). You have full locomotion available with snap turning. The physics seemed fine to me. The throwing physics and the ball collision physics all seemed realistic. I did not experience any issues playing this game. The game ran fine on my 1060 GTX at a steady 90 frames per second. It's running on the Unity Engine. There's only 1 map really, with an alternate look available. The alternate map has obstacles for a little variety in the gameplay. You can choose how many points win the game for longer matches. The visuals are good overall, with a nice environment that looks like it may be a retirement home for that gritty Bocce experience. My only criticisms for this game is that local multiplayer is limited to 2 players, where I would have preferred 4. Also, there is a monitor for a zoomed in view of the target area. Unfortunately, that monitor is too far away. It needs to be closer to the player to be useful. Lastly, it would have been cool to have a virtual audience. Rate ?/10. This is my first Bocce experience so I won't score the game, but I did have fun so I can recommend it.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator connect program. I couldn't get this to work with my Index controllers. This game is very unpolished and for me was unplayable in its current state. Should be in early access.
Written By Hidden Gems Review : https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38624426/, Follow me!
Bocce VR Simulator it's a VR sport game. I never see young people playing this sport only old people, basically you need send the ball near that little ball and be the most close as posible and also hit the oponent balls for make them more far away. You can play againts players or cpu, the game it's pretty basic but it's a relaxing game, kind of golf type. As a simulator and gameplay it's great, but not my type of game XD You can see my Gameplay here : https://youtu.be/PeSBzU0vbpg
This game is absolute trash. To begin with, you are greeted with some huge logos right in your face that move along with your headset. The game menu is beyond simple with no settings. Then when you enter the actual game, you will encounter one of if not the most awful movement systems I have ever seen. There is no teleportation, instead you are automatically moved in whatever direction you are facing. This caused me a great deal of nausea. Imagine getting motion sick in a freakin' bocce game! I would much rather play Bocce Time VR.
a completely new sport for me, which I just learned about, thanks to this game, the realism and immersion suited me to my liking, the detailing of small details, the perfect music accompaniment, excellent presentation!
ay if you like boccee this game is for you, the cpu player was tough but i got him down a cpl times, perhaps would like to see a multiplayer version of this that isnt local, would be pretty fun to play with a friend online
physique improbable meme en lancant la boule doucement elle va super loin
ಠ_ಠ TL;DC (Too Long; Don't Care): Look at the other two Bocce titles before buying this one. Bocce VR Simulator appears to be an approximation of the game of Bocce. I say "approximation", as I've never played this game before and only got an idea of what the rules were by looking it up on wikipedia because there is absolutely zero tutorial or instruction in the game. I guessed my way through my first set, but honestly, I got bored before I completed the match against the AI. When you load in, the first thing you'll notice is that the studio logos are fixed to your view, which is particularly unpleasant. Then you'll be treated to a completely bland menu with large 'Coming Soon' windows on most of the selections. Raise your hand to select a button, and you'll find that the selection line only appears when you can select a button, so navigating the menus can be an exercise in guesswork. Playing the game has a similar lack of polish. The one court that Bocce VR Simulator features is plastered with advertising of the studio's logo repeated over and over, which feels crass and unnecessarily invasive. Whether or not it's your turn or the AI's is indicated by an indicator attached at the top of your display, but on Index you'll practically have to roll your eyes back into you head to read it. The process of moving between turns is slow and unwieldy, too. There's some kind of floating TV display over the court that displays your throw in miniature, which seems a little superfluous because you can already have a better view of the throw with your own perspective. It would be better to simply allow the player to move onto the court after a throw and watch the ball move that way. Movement is snap-turning and controller-relative smooth. I would have much preferred to see a teleport option, here. Other minor issues: ಠ_ಠ "Credits" is mis-spelled in the English translation. ಠ_ಠ The AI bowls from a single position on the far left of the court, so if you 'set' the jack in the corner, it'll throw balls out of bounds most of the time. ಠ_ಠ No Index finger tracking. Pulling the trigger makes a pinching motion but doesn't seem to do anything. ಠ_ಠ Accidentally dropping the ball before throwing it basically forfeits your turn. This feels unnecessarily punitive given how unwieldy VR controllers can be. The best thing I can say about this game is that it offers pass-and-play support for two players. If you and a friend are both very familiar with Bocce already, this might be worthwhile.
