Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

I Hate This Place is an isometric craft-based survival horror game set in a cursed land filled with reality-bending nightmares and terrifying creatures that thrive in the dark. You’ll need to scavenge, build, sneak, and fight if you want to make it out alive.

Scavenge every corner of Rutherford Ranch to stay alive. From haunted forests, a derelict town, to infested bunkers. Explore a world teeming with danger as you gather vital resources, craft essential gear, upgrade your campsite, and rebuild outposts to have somewhere to hide.

A dynamic day-night cycle that changes the world. Use daylight wisely to explore, scavenge supplies, craft what you need, and prepare for what’s coming. When night falls, the real nightmares come out to play. More enemies appear, stronger and more aggressive than before. The landscape becomes harder to navigate with just your flashlight. Sometimes your best hope is to find shelter and hunker down till morning.

Stealth and combat go hand-in-hand here as many of the twisted creatures in Rutherford Ranch hunt and stalk you by sound alone. Brute force will often just land you in an early grave. Use sound to your advantage, luring creatures away from your path or cleverly leading them straight into deadly traps you laid.

Inspired by the award-nominated comic book series created by Kyle Starks and Artyom Topilin, I Hate This Place comes to life with bold colors, a punchy retro comic book style, and a heavy dose of '80s flair. A unique blend of horror, dark humor, and just the right touch of camp and gore where unsettling dread meets stylized charm.

I Hate This Place: 6/10 Platform: Steam Completion Time: 9 Hours Price Tag: $29.99 Elena has returned to her childhood home. With her friend, Lou, they perform a ritual to summon The Horned Man in hopes of getting answers to what happened to her mother. Instead, Lou ends up missing, and the ritual has led to more questions than answers. Elena will have to travel through abandoned bunkers and uncover the secrets of the local cult if she hopes to find her friend and gain answers about her mother’s disappearance. I Hate This Place is an open-world survival craft game stylized like a comic book. You’ll set-up camp at your Aunt & Uncle’s farm where you’ll be able to craft useful items to use in the battles to come. There are two main objectives: finding Lou and uncovering what happened to your mother. Along the way, you’ll meet a handful of additional characters that add to the quest lines. You’ll also need to explore the various bunkers around the forest. Within them are, essentially, three different enemy types. You can either choose to engage in combat (advise against) or you can use your stealth and sneak around them in strategic ways. Each bunker will uncover a secret about the town. You will also experience ghost stories, where you will enter a different realm and uncover what really happened to the victim. This game feels like it offers a lot, but with a 9 hour runtime, I Hate This Place overstays its welcome. Given that this was a resource management game, and they offered you an entire farm to craft, I thought this was going to be a critical part of the game. I ended up encumbered for the majority of the game because it essentially gives you everything you need at each location. The only thing I struggled with from time to time was having enough food. By the end of the game, I questioned why the farm was even a necessary addition since they also offer small crafting stations in every location. The gameplay was enjoyable at first, but by the 5 hour mark, I was ready to be done. It became tedious - enter a bunker, crouch, solve the mystery, find the exit. It seemed pointless to engage in combat with the larger creatures because it took SO MUCH to down them. I believe it took 6 shotgun shells, 12 pistol shots, 3 flares, etc. I just found it more worth my time to sneak past them, which felt like that was more of the game’s intention. However, if you were to throw a grenade they targeted your direct location, which should not have happened. It also took a lot for them to disengage if you had been caught. I appreciated the addition of the voice acting, but a lot of times it felt stiff and didn’t contain the correct emotions. The animation during these dialogues were also incredibly stiff. The overall narrative of the game just fell flat. I also became frustrated with the last hour and a half of the game because it just wasn’t necessary to make the character go through another tedious bunker and puzzle and boss just to meet a character “beyond the forest gates”. I was checked out at this point and didn’t really care about the ending. I enjoyed the first few hours of the game, which is partly why the score is a bit higher, despite all of the negatives I point out above. I also thought that the elements they offered were interesting, even if they didn’t all fit together. This is also why I would still recommend the game because I can see that the developers really tried, and poured a lot of heart into it. Although I wouldn't recommend this game at full price, I would still recommend picking it up on sale.

Pretty cool indie survival horror. I love the artstyle. Even though controls are a bit clunky the combat is fun. If you love this type of game I can definitely recommend it.
I hate this game. Sorry, not sorry!

Devs gave me a key to check out their game on stream, and here's my honest opinion of it. First of all, the positives. I absolutely adored the art style of it, the funny and goofy dialogue, and even the gameplay itself. The sketchbook is an amazing touch and I love that the map adds locations that you discover, to make you explore but never forget where you've been. The combat is also fun in general. It's a very unique game and is one I am looking forward to finishing and see what else it has to offer. The negatives, however. The game doesn't offer you any tutorial of sort, it doesn't even give you controls besides the ones on screen. I don't need the game to teach me everything, however, I think just the basic controls being shown would go a long way instead of me having to go to the settings to find them. Second, if you give a wrong answer on ghost events, you're permanently locked out of blueprints. You should be able to redo the event if you get it wrong imo. I only found this out recently. The fields one was also frustrating to me. Also, I spent a lot time running around until I realised you can kill the ghosts, because again, no tutorial or anything of the sort. Third, the base building makes the game incredibly easy immediately. The amount of food and resources you can get is out of this world and I think it should be toned down. There's no penalty to just going to bed and waiting for more resources if you need, so I didn't really feel like I struggled to manage my items. Throwing a can to make noise still makes the monsters immediately zoom in on as if you made the sound and not the can. At least, that was my experience on the three cans I threw. And lastly, sometimes the voice lines either don't play or are delayed. It doesn't happen a lot, but it still happens. Do I recommend this game? Yes, definitely. There's some issues here and there, but it is a very fun game. Give it a try yourselves! Thanks again Devs and Keymailer for the key <3
