Really calm and interesting game, definitely a time sink (love it). So much potential and a great Dev behind it, so looking forwards to whats to come... ... now lemme grab me mower...
Early Access Review; 'I Fought the Lawn' is a super chill and fun game! It is quite enjoyable after a long day to sit down and just clear the ground of grass in the random maps and earn money as you go to buy bigger and better mowers! and the fact it has a multiplayer means you have hours of chill fun to play with friends as well! I've played this game for multiple hours with friends already and it was a great time of laughs and chatting. This game has a lot of futher potential to go and I'm excited to see its progress
Very neat chill game, the kind of game you can play while hanging out with people on discord, and with multiplayer support on top of it.
Short Story: Very Early Access but the dev is a great person and really has a passion for game creation, so I'm excited to see how it goes with some polish. Longer Story: (Don't pay too much attention to the hours count; seen and tried it out on my housemate's account before buying it for myself). Optimisation issues aside, very happy with the fact there is 21:9 support (even a lot of AA and AAA games don't support it). Lot of promise and has a cozy feel to it. One thing I would like to see changed is a fading transparency on the hazard tags in the map; once you get really close you can't actually see the hazard properly over the 100% opacity warning. Small gripe but I got blown up twice in a row by flying blind. Final note: Had quite a bit of fun with it and keen to see how much better this gets over time!
[Reviewed in Early Access] TL;DR The game is promising and has a lot of potential to become something big and is really fun and enjoyable to play in its current state. I Fought the Lawn is a really fun yet seemingly simple game with an addictive and therapeutic game play loop. The core concept of the game is to mow randomly generated plots of land, earn money and buy upgraded lawn mowers. The game can be played either solo or with up to 4 friends for absolute lawn mowing shenanigans. The game is currently in early access and being developed by a single developer so bugs are bound to show up. However the developer has put a lot of time, effort and love into making this an enjoyable and pleasant experience for all of those who choose to play it. In its current state, the game has the core game play implemented; which consists of mowing, making money and buying upgraded mowers. The developer has many plans to implement new features and content to keep the game fun and interesting. The game has cute, simplistic art style and fun music that really add to the overall experience. If you're someone who gets pleasure out of doing simple, repeatable tasks, then I recommend checking this game out. Even if you're not a huge fan of the game play loop, it could still be a lot of fun to check out with some friends. Regardless, any and all support and encouragement the developer receives will help motivate them to make this game flourish and I honestly cannot wait to see where it goes in the future.
Should have bought doughnut instead. So game works, but not well. Numbers mean nothing, price of mowers keeps changing, percentage bar jump all over the place. Online play kinda works, but other players finish job before i do... now i'm alone, and they're staring at a black screen until I finish, is sad. Also you can totally destroy your mower and it still works. Apart from that it's a great game. DON'T BUY!
Game is pretty chill, looking forward to playing more. I just got an S-Tier push mower so I'm reasonably certain I'm unstoppable now.
This is a nice, chill game to relax with. Also, the developer is a great guy!

I really love this game, It's a satisfying game to play after a rough day or just in general. I like that you can choose how hard the job is too so you can decide what you feel like doing. All in all, great game. Can't wait to see what else is made!
