About

In I Am Machine, an isometric rogue-lite adventure, play as Erik, a lone survivor in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by machines. With humanity on the brink of extinction, Erik must confront brutal mechanical foes as he embarks on a quest to save his kidnapped daughter.
Your choices will determine his fate. Arm yourself with powerful weapons, enhance your abilities, and forge unlikely alliances as you battle deadly enemies across unforgiving environments.

Engage in fast-paced, isometric combat where no two encounters are the same. Wield a mix of melee and ranged weapons, customizing Erik’s arsenal with over 100 boons to suit your style. Each biome presents unique challenges and mechanical threats, testing your resilience with new dangers and rewards at every turn.

Collect scrap from your fallen foes to craft wicked defenses — turrets, lasers, you name it. Strategically place your creations to permanently bolster your stronghold, helping you outlast the ruthless machines determined to scrap you.
Capture an enemy’s ability, then use it against its own kind.

Wander through the post-apocalyptic world and chat with an eclectic bunch of survivors. Swap stories, share secrets, and piece together the wild history of a world that's far from lifeless.

Repair and upgrade your hideout as you collect loot, unlocking essential goodies that beef up your defenses and power up your arsenal for the relentless battles ahead.

Reviews
It hurts to give this a negative review, but this game is severely lacking polish to the point of simply not being fun to play. Hades is my favorite game. When a game tries to copy aspects of Hades, I feel at home pretty quickly. I love SWORN, for example. But this game is simply not polished enough to be fun. Pros: - Interesting premise - Copies Hades boons Cons: - Gameplay/combat does not feel good - Lack of polish in all areas including bugs like boons not working (Critical Dash) - Metaprogression starts way too late to hook the player. This isn't even a roguelite until after a few deaths. - After 2 hours I have only seen one weapon (that does not feel very good to play) - All runs feel the same for the most part during that initial phase where the player needs to be hooked. - Main character is mean to the cat I'm sorry, but if you want to copy parts of Hades, you need better and quicker hooks and the game needs to feel good to play.
