Hypnospace Outlaw

Rare to find such a high concentration of passion and creativity on display in a game. The world inside HypnoSpace Outlaw is one crafted with unabashed wit and love directed not only to its setting, but also to human creativity and expression at their most mundane (and often ugly) state. Not a flawless game but nevertheless unforgettable.

As a child of the 90s, I absolutely loved this game. Sometimes I scroll past it in my steam library, get excited, and then sadly remember I already finished it.

I said to myself that I got too much more than what I paid for like 1 minute into the game. If you appreciate stupidly good pixel art and psychological horror, buy this game yesterday.

I've seen this being streamed like 3 times, so might as well play it. Pretty cool puzzle game. I like the old internet aesthetics, plot was pretty good. Even if I knew where everything was, it was nice learning some new stuff by myself. Won't bother with the "catalog all pages" achievement though, just no. Shame DreamSettler is dead.

A one-of-a-kind game made by clearly passionate individuals. Hypnospace Outlaw starts off as a simple point-and-click parody of late '90s internet, filled with poorly constructed web pages, a staggering amount of custom music, and crudely made art. It quickly blossoms into a delicately woven story brimming with intricately connected characters that demands your full investment. Much of the enjoyment from the game comes from its brand of humor and specific references, so if you aren't from the era being represented, you may find that it falls flat or that the gameplay alone isn't enough to carry the experience. And while the puzzles are mostly tame, the lack of guidance can also cause confusion at times. But to those who for some reason want to recreate the feeling of infecting the family PC in exchange for a new mouse cursor, you won't play another game quite like this one. RIP Dreamsettler

heard the game from GEMAPLYS, decided to check it out, saw it was on sale and got it, after completing the game... wow, just wow, didn't know browsing the dreams equivalent of the internet would steal 6 hours of my life (not a bad thing tho) my only complaint about the game is that some of the puzzles are just... too hard for the casual player without a guide in their hand, but apart from that, it was an enjoyable experience for the equivalent of a liter and a half of gas. DEFINELY try this game out if you have the chance, it's good, enjoyable and on sale for most of the time

This is a game that deserves a sequel in the same vein and yet it will never get that, and I think that's sad. And frankly, none of these other old internet exploration games scratch the itch because they all have to try and be subversive and have a horror twist which is lame and boring. Hypnospace Outlaw is still the best to ever do it. And frankly, it may as well be the only one to ever do it.

(como alguns outros daqui tbm vim do vídeo do Gemaplys; posso voltar pra ver o resto do vídeo dele agr xD) Não esperava que o jogo fosse tomar o rumo que tomou e fui extremamente surpreendido por isso! A história principal é interessantíssima e quando vc se aprofunda nos detalhes (e tem mt detalhe nesse jogo) ela fica melhor ainda. E as outras várias histórias q o jogo conta, tanto explícita quando implicitamente, são igualmente fascinantes; foi mt divertido ver as páginas evoluindo e os personagens interagindo entre si. A parte visual do jogo é impecável, me fez sentir nostálgico por uma era q eu nunca vivi. As músicas também são excelentes e fique impressionado com a variedade de estilos (Coolpunk n está morto!). É o tipo de jogo que vc gostaria de apagar da mente pra poder experienciar tudo mais uma vez.
