It's ironic that one of the game modes is 'wrong millenium' as this game itself suffers a little of that. As an 80's-style arcade beat-'em-up it's a lot of fun. The kind that you could easily drop a few quarters into. As a rogue-like however the systems just don't gel that well. The meta progression feels both necessary for the central mind-control mechanic of the game, yet unrewarding. as by the time hosts are unlocked you've beaten them dozens of times already so their attacks have lost their novelty. Builds feel highly RNG-dependant (which to be fair is normal for this kind of shooter) but also highly anti-synergistic. For example many upgrades are gated by the type of attack on the host (ranged or melee), or the type of damage they do, so upgrades are frequently either totally unusable or just more of what you already do. The standout games in the genre always have the potential for a bonkers run where everything just falls exactly right and will be remembered for ages, on the other hand runs of HP end up feeling really similar. Look, it's a fun game, and I will probably try to at least beat it once, but there are many games that do the same thing but better.

我寻思进个新场景是不是至少给我个最垃圾的怪给寄生，没找着精英怪呢就被锤死了，更别说去商店解锁了。我死的第一个场景快解锁完了第二个场景都一个没解锁，我承认我技术菜，但是不是让我稍微有点游戏体验

HyperParasite is a great twinstick shooter and rogue-lite. I also own this game on the Nintendo Switch™, which I have heaps of hours on. It's challenging for sure and using the different characters makes it extra fun. This version is of course far better that the switch and is just fun to keep on playing for ages. Recommend for sure if you're up for a bit of challenge and enjoy the rogue-lite genre.

Tight controls, lots of ♥♥♥♥ to unlock and an 80s aesthetic. I plan on playing this for a while, good ♥♥♥♥!

Roguelike con vista aerea y 3D con una mecánica muy innovadora. Cuando ves que puedes jugar con cada uno de los enemigos del juego y cada uno tiene sus ataques especiales, y propietarios ademas de sus estadisticas te das cuenta que estás ante un juego engendrado con mucho cariño. Un paseo por los 70/80 a base de palizas y mucha habilidad. El sistema de progreso hace que no haya tanta frustración cuando mueres, muy recomendado.

Only recommend getting on a very steep discount. The game has a unique thing going and is addictive but it also feels cheap and unfair. Not sure if Im gonna keep messing with this one or not.

game is sick

Arena shooter with upgrades and lots of characters and levels. Lots of gameplay variation. Reminds me of Hades + Hotline Miami with that gritty/silly TMNT vibe.

肉鸽rpg小游戏，感觉还行，但是比较单一，题材挺新颖的，寄生的玩法挺有趣，但剧情有点扯，最后竟然是妈妈找儿子的剧情，挺无语
