So I was suggested this mysterious game from a friend to be surprised that it’s the familiar game of Pong that was released in 1972 in arcades along with other games such as Space Invaders, Asteroids, and Breakout. But it was actually originally released on the Magnavox Odyssey under the alias of “table tennis.” Fun little tidbit going off topic a bit Pong was the first ever video game, but back to HYPERGALACTIC PSYCHIC TABLE TENNIS 3000TM it actually puts quite the spin to the cult classic of Pong, and adds many modern additions to the game such as fire. It also adds aging but is referred to as leveling up. There are also interactive environments such as water which interacts with fire abilities which is quite surprising how much realism there is in such a simple spin on the cult classic Pong. The enemies come in many 4 sided shapes such as a square, rectangle, and a bigger rectangle, which I'm glad they added support for different body types. But not to spoil all the deep lore and in depth/realistic feature of HYPERGALACTIC PSYCHIC TABLE TENNIS 3000TM this game is much like in difficulty as this small indie game you may know called “Lacking of Light Souls” or as others may call it Dark Souls. Final Rating: 7/10 Final Remarks: too much water

I like the game design (RPG elements in a classic arcade pong game). However, I cannot recommend the game to anyone at this stage for two reasons: 1. the game crashes randomly, and then you have to quit the nwjs yourself in the task manager. Maybe this is specific to mac OS, but it's a pretty game breaking bug. 2. the screen is too flashy and shaky on certain stages, making it sometimes unplayable. I believe that the colourisation, flashes, and screen shaking are randomly generated. That's fine, but you have to make sure they don't make the gaming experience hell. Also, the skill menu at the bottom can cover the ball pathing (though this is the least of your issues if the colour of the ball fades into the background...) 3. The dev doesn't seem to care. Bug reports are ignored. I hope the dev would fix the game. It has potential, if polished.
It's the most interesting pong I've ever seen. Keyword: it's still pong. It's a nice revamp though, if you enjoy classic the classic. Grab it on sale and adjust your expectations accordingly.
Best game to play while waiting for someone else. It's pong. With RPG & light dating sim elements. Bizarre, hilarious, and with frankly way too much effort in some areas. Get it to support Mark Meer, and hear his melodious voice literally every 5 seconds as you spam the fireball spell.
It's my Favorite Steam Game. It's RPG Pong, it's Cheap, it's fun, It kills time. What more could you ask for?
pong that makes me want to get a crt
An upgrade after beating a level was between crit chance and charisma. I picked crit chance, because I was playing a glass cannon wizard.
