Update 7.24: It was brought to my attention that this doesn't even seem to be a game, but a demo toolset developed by another Unity dev and repackaged as a game, with nothing added, altered or credited. That's pretty low, man. ------- Let me be clear here - there's nothing wrong with this game. It's an extremely stripped down, minimalist colony sim, with very little direct colonist control, no real sense of scarcity, urgency or danger. I got it on sale for 6 and a half bucks, and that was...still too much. This is a $2 game, guys, I'm sorry to say. I played it for .8 hours, and half of that was a call from my family where I paused it and left the room, and I still developed everything I could, had made everything I could, etc. Everything works fine, except for water pumps, which people will not build, water sources, which they won't gather from, and consequently, the distillery, which they can't use without water. The features say there's a night cycle, but it never happened, and I can't see what it would change. Enemies come from nowhere and with no warning, but it doesn't matter too much because colonists seem perfectly capable of stopping them. You could probably reasonable wrap up a full playthrough within ten minutes or so, and there's no real reason to play again that I can see. Again, it's fine for what it is, but it's priced for what it's not. If you can get it for two bucks, you'll have a fun five minutes and that'll be it.
Good simulator. Nice graphics. A lot of different crafting, and options for a developed colony. You choose which way the transport workers will take. The game has many different features, buildings and different content. I hope the game will continue to develop. It's hard to get away from the game. I recommend!
Even at 1$ it's a "meh" from me. Colonist do weird activities, I set 2 people to mine rock and then suddently there's 6 on it. There's "combat", but your pawn just look at the enemy for a while before deciding to attack back Colonist are made out of thin air, make a house and "poof" they appear. There's no music. "Making meat" is the same process as getting crops, you just spawn it in.
Well, here's another city-building simulator. Everything is trite and simple. There are: Builders, miners, skill tree. Build your village/city. That's the only thing that unites these games - it's graphics. Well, why this minecraft style? 21 century. Well, make those graphics that are pleasing to the eye, and not squares and pixels.
Boring. That's it, boring, its such a stripped down basic game with no progression its just build like 10 things and that's it. I think the skill tree had like 10-12 things and that's pretty quick to unlock and once it is all unlocked you just watch people back and forth and nothing more??? don't waste your time or money even in the sale.
The Last City, another zombie apocalypse game. In which you need to build your base. Improve gear. Craft new things. Destroy zombies. There is also a change of day and night. What can be taken from the game. This is of course a drawing, and possibly a top view. And besides, the control here is, not as usual in other games, with only one character, and a whole colony of people is given under control. For which you need to extract water, build protection, grow vegetables for food. In principle, I have not seen this concept anywhere. Pretty not bad. You can buy at a discount!
The gameplay of The Last City is not entirely typical for a strategy game. There are also elements of RPG and even survival, which adds to the interest
It's not a complete game, its an asset store demo that was literally sold as a game without any changes. The framework has potential but not in this implementation.
