Very Fun :D
Haven't played Hyper Light Drifter as a heads up. This is a bit of a longer run, I would say to set yourself up perfectly for success, you ideally attain the 6 Crowns then head back to the hub town. Afterwards you wanna soup up, and max your gear. Typically in any given run, using one of the elevators to go underground gets you a Golden Ration which is the lower level upgrade material. Beating the two crown Boss, and making it to the end of Early Access gets you two advanced upgrade materials. Ideally you pay attention to where the merchant is, and which shrines you used to purchase Medkits from to keep the situation going, especially since if you head back to the hub town you lose your soup bonuses. First few runs you will likely not even make it to a boss so prioritize getting a golden ration. You get more golden rations the more you level the world rank. The max for early access thus far is level 20 which gets you about 5 golden rations, not including the one you find. Love the extremely diverse amount of gear you can get, with secondary bonuses. Unlockable characters with different play styles, this game is just a massive win. Anyone who likes action RPGs, combined with Roguelite elements. Anyone who likes dodges and / or parry mechanics, they are both extremely useful. Anyone who likes using guns and or swords / bombs. Anyone who wants to play solo, or with friends. This game is ridiculously thoughtful in how you as the player might like to play it. I am in love. Since the runs are a bit longer, remember to return to the hub town if you gotta sleep, as that saves your progress. Hope the final release has some different domains, and bosses. Outside of that its glorious, and I highly recommend anyone who enjoys buttery smooth games, with a variety of mechanics, that don't force you into a particular playstyle [eg, parrying being OP compared to dodging] to give this a shot.

game is no longer even being worked on, very tragic, could've been super cool.
A "souls-like Rogue-lite" experience. I got all the homies addicted to this game and I can't believe it's not even finished yet. Everything has been smooth so far, my only thing is the "executions" are mid, I say that because my character just does a regular slash or hit; when I see the word "execution" i'm expecting a zoom-in or special move type of kill to happen.

love it
Has a LOT of promise through early access. It's very fun with friends. I like it much better than Nightreign tbh.
un énorme banger en devenir
UPDATE: As they abandoned the game without finishing it in Early Access I can't recommend it. This gives a very bad precedent and a big loss for the trust of any early access games. I definetly will avoid them from now on. (original review):I usually don't buy early access games but I saw this new update which sounded great so I jumped in. First of all the games run very smooth for me without bugs which is a huge plus in this day and age. There is great promise in this game I hope this could be my main game for a considerable time. Of course there is room for improvement but this is an early access so it's only natural. I use keyboard and mouse which works here perfectly I recommend for the devs that don't discourage kbm players in your games with a stupid "best played with controller" notice at the beginning. It wasn't true in Solar Ash and it's definetly isn't true here.
[ORIGINAL REVIEW] Believe me when I say that while this game isn't Hyper Light Drifter or Solar Ash, the devs are putting in the work to make this a good experience. [EDITED] It needed more time to cook but they fired the chefs and are no longer serving this item on the menu. Absolutely dreadful result for Heart Machine and everyone involved.
