I bought this game thinking it would be similar to the first saga, but it wasn't even remotely alike. Even playing it with someone else, I found it too monotonous. To be honest, it doesn't stand out much in terms of gameplay. Apart from the fact that it no longer receives updates, the game had a lot of potential, which was unfortunately wasted. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this game if they're looking for something similar to Hyper Light Drifter. It's a shame. I would have liked to get a refund, but that's not possible. My point is, don't buy this game, for goodness' sake. Anyways peace.
Its so sad what happened to this game. Watching the trailer before Early Access was so hype. It looks like a bigger, prettier ROR2 with lots of focus on movement and exploration. Early access had rough edges on UI and overworld that just threw you into the game, but thats how EA works. The stages felt empty, maybe this gets improved as the game gets updates and closer to leaving EA. And then the whole project is essentially canceled. RIP. Game looked hype. No way its worth investing into now.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chuds cancelling development grow a pair
Despite development getting halted until further notice (probably forever), this game was fun when I was able to play it. You were able to find the occasional 3 man squad and get a full run here and there, but now it's just been left as a stale mess of code. Crazy how its priced at $30 and still undergoing a sale while actively burning to the ground...
The game needs work, but its fun and has good direction.
i will never buy a game from heart machine ever again, i hate how this game turned out,
Combat is fun but isn't rewarding, not enough currency provided, so they either bump up the rewards or free med kit replenish after certain amount of kills, also the bigger enemies are annoying to fight i.e crystal golem since they spam crystal spikes (would be really cool if they break when you melee attack them, give the player some agency when fighting enemies instead of waiting around for openings), increase parry time window especially if multiple enemies can attack (also dev please add ability to parry multiple enemies with single parry so that parrying isn't worthless compared to dodging). Also inventory system makes me wants to punch babies it is terrible. I shouldn't have to hit two buttons to decide whether to pick up or discard, comparison should popup when you stand over the item, then it should be tap rb to pick up, hold to dismantle. (dev please bring back ability to carry over weapons and armor between runs (without durability because that is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid to add) Lock On camera is bad as well love only being able to see feet when locked on
devs ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scammed us
