I think this game has major potential and it is a fun game. Unfortunately, there is not enough content to keep a modern audience invested long term. They should focus on solo playthroughs right now until the numbers improve as this game is clearly much more fun with a crew. If you are interested, wait for this game to go on sale.
I'm going to recommend this because I feel like 1.0 will be great. Definitely a work in progress. Get it on sale and try it out.

Game has decent bones, but this has probably the lowest amount of content for an early access title I've played. Only a couple of bosses, same enemies each run, and I feel like I've seen almost majority of the weapons already. Also very lackluster upgrade tree. Will definitely try in the future as I'm a fan of Heart Machine, but at the moment the price is too steep for the current game.
Never buying another EA title from heartmachine
Development ended before 1.0 Broken Heart Machine. Avoid them in future.
I love drifter, but breaker fell far short and missed many marks that drifter gave. Pains me to write a negative review on something from heart machine, but have to as they over extended their team, fired developers. Saw the signs of what was to come with the delayed release date, a barely playable framerate, and then the content was severely lacking, I'd avoid their future games, I've been bothered about the fate of breaker ever since they were teasing possessors, and it proved to be true that they don't care about finishing projects they put up for sale.
Was hoping this game would turn something fun to play with friends and waited for a year to see how it would be developed. Seems this game was a Quick cash grab and the devs, abandoned it... I dont recommend this game. Mb i cant refund it , but who ever is reading this - Dont waist your resources on this game or the developers team.
Risk of Rain 2 and Elden Ring are in my top 5 fav games of all time! The release of Early access was a bit rough and hard to play. But the Changes the DEVs have made have improved it and after another epic session and actually exploring the Proceedural world. I'm loving it! Is it perfect, no, but it's more and more what I was looking forward to ever since they announced it back in the day. Elden Ring exploration and combat (not as good as eldan ring Obvs :P) and enemys to fight with blades and guns like RoR2. I'm loving it!
Devs canned development of the game.
game is not optimized, half of my play time was trying to get the game to function. parry window is off, enemies are over tuned, easily soft locked myself within a minute into the first run after tutorial
