About
Scare, terrify and thrill guests as you build the haunted attraction of your nightmares. Build and design elaborate attractions with incredible detail to scare your guests enough to leave before they can reach the exit, or risk losing fear reputation and cash.
BUILD
Build walls, doorways, trap doors, fake walls and more to guide your guests through the haunted attraction maze
Build pre-built hallways and rooms if you are feeling rushed to build or want to experiment with different themes.
Decorate your haunted attraction with lighting effects, ghostly paintings, spooky props and more.
Pick the colors to best scare your guests
Place scare traps along the way from ghosts to aliens and everything in between.
Purchase new attractions with fear reputation, but be careful the more of the same attractions you have and the closer they are to each other may result in a negative affect to your guests and not be as scary.
Ensure your attraction is ready for the next wave of guests and then prepare to see if your planning pays off.
Watch the profits roll in and see your fear reputation increase with every wave of visitors.
See how much more your guests will be able to withstand by monitoring the glowsticks they wear around their necks.
The further you progress the more you will need to work to scare your guests. Sinister traps are truly the stuff of nightmares as you have the ability to make guests disappear from the living and join the dead.
Don’t get caught or else your career will be over. Be sure to hire the best security and lawyers you can afford to keep investigations away from your haunted attraction.
Once you have earned enough scare reputation you will be able to progress and move to a new location and face unique challenges in a different part of town.
Different locations include:
Backyard Haunt
The Forest
The Old Factory
Abandoned Schoolhouse
Abandoned Amusement Park
The Lake
And more to come!

I spent over two hours fighting through bugs and issues in this game, and now I can’t even return it. The whole experience was frustrating from start to finish. The building mechanics are downright awful. There’s no clear snapping function, so trying to get anything to line up is a pain. Adding floors actually broke the ability to add walls, so I just said "F" it. I wanted to create something with a bit of style, but it was such a hassle that I gave up and threw together some particle board walls to make a maze. It wasn’t pretty, but at least it worked. Then there’s the power system, which is a complete nightmare. You can’t place anything that requires power unless you already have power running—makes no sense. And the generators burn through gas in about 10 seconds, so you’re constantly refueling and going broke. I tried switching to windmills, which helped a little, but they would constantly break down. On top of that, the starting line for the haunted house is ridiculously far away, so by the time guests reached it, the generator was already out of fuel, leaving everything shut down. Repairing items was straight up broken. Replacement parts cost more than just buying a new item, but even then, clicking “repair” didn’t do anything. I bought a maintenance desk hoping it would solve the problem, but the staff just stood around talking about how creepy the place was instead of fixing anything. I also hired a cleanup crew and the guy wouldn't even enter the haunted house. Guests entered just fine, so I'm not sure why he wouldn't. I added the crushing walls to amp up the fear factor and it literally broke the haunted house. All the bodies just piled up at the crushing walls and everyone got stuck in the house. I had to delete the crushing walls and everyone finally actually "died" and I was able to collect their bones and such. The game progression was just as broken. In the first two rounds, I didn’t hit the quota, but nothing happened, so I assumed that was normal. Then, on the third round, I finally met the quota—and still, nothing happened. It felt like I was playing with no clear goal or reward. I checked on the community hub and folks were talking about a pass/fail score. So obviously I should have had some kind of notification? To top it all off, guests kept getting stuck in their cars. If you pause the game, it stops cars that are already on the road, but new ones keep spawning, causing a massive traffic jam that traps everyone. I really wanted to like this game, but the bugs, poor mechanics, and lack of direction made it impossible to enjoy. It’s frustrating because there’s potential here, but right now, it’s just not worth the time or money. It's literally not ready to be played. It was in development forever and it's been out for over 2 years now. Sure, it's early access, but it's hard to even access it. I never return games and I never leave scathing reviews, but this was beyond broken.
I bought this game under the understanding it was a 'haunted house tycoon'. Nothing 'tycoon' about it at all. Very misleading. It's more of a 'tower defense' game with haunted house elements. That's about it.
lacking, and its not a tycoon
I read the reviews and understood the risks but not being able to complete the levels was a huge negative. The game is more frustrating than fun and gave up in the end. Even the sandbox mode doesn't work properly. Avoid until the games further on in development.
I really enjoy playing this and can see so much potential for the future! I love anything horror and to be able to take the reigns and make something spooky of my own in a game is great! Very cathartic and can spend a long time on one level trying to balance both spooks and aesthetics. So many options and things going on that I am always engaged in game play strategy through all of the progressing rounds. The game play mechanics take some time to figure out, but it reminds me of the old internet games of creating an amusement park, mall, or hotel and trying to reach certain goals by the end of the level. Being able to remap and try different lay outs and scares to get the most effective haunted house is a great spooky puzzle game! Something important to acknowledge is that this is a solo developer game and to come into a game with expectations and standards of a multi-thousand dollar game with a full team is unrealistic and unfair to both the developer and for yourself. Seeing how the solo developer was able to achieve so much progress from playing the free demo to the now owned and self bought game, I am so excited to see how it expands in the future. I would recommend this game if you enjoy self led strategy puzzle games with a great aesthetic and an immersive universe. It is definitely a what you make of it experience and if you enjoy having that power and control in a game I would greatly recommend. 8/10 Shout out to the developer for being able to make something so exceptional solo. I look forward to seeing what you bring next to the game.
So, I just bought this game and my biggest gripe with this game is you don't have the option if you want to have pre-built walls or anything pre-built and just add the spooky attractions where you desire. I don't want the headache of trying to make a design for walls when I just want to focus on the items. Maybe in another update, we can get this luxury but atm I just simply don't wanna have to create paths for NPC's
So far I absolutely adore the concept! It's fun attempting to scare the guests and I love how a lot of the scare props interact with them! I will say it is slightly frustrating only starting with 10,000$ when the small generator costs 2.5K and only gives one bolt and the windmill costs 5K. It makes it extremely hard to actually get a full lay out going. But I managed (at least for the backyard haunt so far lol). Is there something that is supposed to happen once you meet the 20 souls goal? Mine just stops pulling guests through but doesn't trigger anything else. Also the body clean up guy doesn't seem to be functioning as it should consistently. He just kinda stands at the opening to the house and doesnt grab any bodies lol. I am super excited to see this game progress even further and hope you guys continue to work on it as you are! Once the bugs are fixed up, I would definitely rate this game a 10/10 for tycoon style games and horror!
Engaging and dynamic. Bugs are fixed regularly. Great game for early release, can't wait for the full game.
