Not a bad game. It's super creative with some of its environmental designs, and I loved changing the weather and time of day to solve puzzles. The story was cool too, but I disliked the boss fights. They didn't feel particularly good, but they weren't too bad at least.
This game is incredible! I had high hopes after playing the demo, and the full game did not disappoint. I wish more smaller game devs took risks and created systems and environments that are unique and engaging like in this game. You can change the weather and time of day to manipulate your environment in massive ways with the press of a button. That's so freaking cool! It's a real shame that this game got quite overshadowed by a huge release the day after it launched because this was a better game imo, and I think this deserved to get way more hype. This is the livestream I did playing this game, so keep in mind it's not just a straight playthrough, but a lot of interaction with chat also. https://youtube.com/live/9XGZrCqUllk?feature=share
Games like this remind me of why I love indie titles over the generic AAA slop that is put out these days. This isn't without it's faults (namely the combat has some issues/isn't fun), but I adore the atmosphere, world building, and creativity on display here. Buy this to support the great work of indie devs and solo creators - especially if you love suspenseful/horror-lite games. Make sure you play The Wine also, which is a more classic horror experience.
The physics engine is absolutely terrible and given that it's unbeatable having three opponents (the green dude and two wolfs) hunting you WHILE shooting green orbs of destruction onto you AND changing to the foggy scenery every minute. The looks and story overall is quite good and the hints of humor in the monologue of the robot is cool too, but the basic game mechanics are terrible. I was at first only annoyed by the fact that the light source is attracting any objects all the time, but this makes it unplayable for me as it is simply too dorky to play with in a arena fight. Uninstalled now.
fun, not so scary: 7/10
6,5/10
