About
Back in 2023, Horos was created in a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, with animations ranging from 20 to 40 frames. That was enough… but Horos never settles for average. He always wants more. And he usually gets it. The gnomes from our workshop, led by Gruk, took this as a personal challenge and prepared a truly special version of his adventure for all Horos fans.
resolution increased to 2560 × 1440 pixels, with about 50% more visual detail, plus more natural rendering of hair, human skin, and clothing materials
new dialogue screens for all characters - the girls’ smiles and playful winks have never looked this good
improved sex animations - now up to 160 frames, featuring natural body movement and emotions clearly visible on characters’ faces
naughty climax animations - inside, on the face, on the breasts - wherever you desire
battle animations for enemies boldly challenging you to a duel
plenty of smaller animations that bring the game to life and make the world feel richer and more immersive
Additionally, we’ve expanded the storyline centered around the pirate captain Whitebones. On Mandy’s request, you’ll row to the beach of a small island, where the damaged ship Sea Viper lies anchored. Accompanied by sea shanties, you’ll board the vessel, defeat a crew of skeletons, and retrieve an artifact. Mandy will reward you for its recovery with a passionate encounter aboard the pirate ship.

Important Disclaimer: This is not AVN, but an old-school text RPG in fantasy labyrinth with porn scenes here and there. Fantasy setting, hero with amnesia is evolving to unbeatable warrior by sleeping with beautiful women, slaying awful monsters and thankfully almost never vice versa...
Pros:
- Good plot, it's not boring or cringe to read - Simple but pleasant visual part, ladies are quite different and behave slutty, but logically - Sound is alright in almost all cases - Humour and irony here and there - Fantasy world setting based on Tolkien bestiary (but with more dynamic heroic vibe) - Endings! Really, choices matter! Mostly in the end of game, but you might need to make different decision here and there. - Sometimes challenging fights (depends on difficulty settings though)
Cons:
- A little grinding and a lot of mandatory fights to finish walkthrough. Playing game again for different choices would be too long, you cannot just "skip text you've seen" till next choice - you need to fight your way through again. Not a problem for the first time playing though. - Sex animations are good... for previous decade - Logical bugs here and there - you can stuck in a fight or have quest that never starts or finishes (secondary quests for me only [spolier] like giant octopus
, though). No game breakers happened, but they exist.
Verdict
: 8/10 Nicely done fantasy RPG with adult scenes. Would be not worthy as pure RPG and too simple as pure adult pictures\animation collection, but combined it's more than good! Enjoy!
good art. good characters. good story. good gameplay. good all round.
HOROS – monster slayer and lover of many is an adult-oriented fantasy RPG and visual novel hybrid developed and published by Lesson of Passion. It blends light role-playing mechanics with branching narrative design and explicit romantic content, creating an experience that sits at the intersection of adventure storytelling and mature character-driven interaction. Rather than positioning combat or exploration as its sole focus, the game builds its identity around the dual nature of its protagonist: a capable monster hunter navigating dangerous lands, and a charismatic figure whose relationships are central to the unfolding story. The narrative begins with Horos recovering from a near-fatal encounter, awakening in a quiet town with fragmented memories and uncertain purpose. This starting point establishes both mystery and vulnerability, grounding the character before he resumes his role as a slayer of monsters. From there, the world gradually opens through dialogue exchanges, quests, and exploration. The setting combines classic fantasy elements—inns, blacksmiths, cults, ruins, swamps, and forests—with a tone that shifts between dramatic, humorous, and intimate. Conversations drive much of the experience, and player choices influence how relationships evolve and which narrative branches become available. Gameplay alternates between visual novel-style decision-making and simplified RPG mechanics. Exploration involves traveling between locations, accepting quests, battling enemies, and collecting loot. Combat is generally turn-based and accessible, focusing more on progression and resource management than on intricate tactical depth. Equipment upgrades and item collection provide incremental growth, reinforcing the sense of development as Horos becomes more capable in both combat and social encounters. While the mechanical systems are not especially complex compared to larger RPG franchises, they serve as a structural backbone for the story rather than competing with it. A defining aspect of the game is its explicit adult content. Romantic and sexual encounters are not treated as optional side content but are deeply integrated into character arcs and progression paths. Relationships can branch in multiple directions, sometimes overlapping or intersecting, and choices made during interactions can affect both narrative outcomes and available scenes. The game features animated sequences and detailed illustrations, emphasizing intimacy and variety across different character dynamics. Because of this focus, HOROS clearly targets a mature audience, and its tone unapologetically leans into sensual fantasy themes alongside its monster-slaying premise. Visually, the game uses 2D backgrounds paired with expressive character art. The style is colorful and stylized, embracing fantasy archetypes while adding distinct personality traits to its cast. Character portraits convey emotion effectively during dialogue exchanges, and animated scenes attempt to bring interactions to life beyond static imagery. Environmental design remains functional, prioritizing clarity and accessibility over elaborate world-building detail. While the production values are modest compared to large-scale RPGs, the art direction supports the tone of the game and maintains visual cohesion. The pacing is shaped by the interplay between combat, exploration, and character interactions. Players can choose to focus more heavily on quest progression and battles or spend time deepening specific relationships. Multiple endings encourage replayability, as different decisions lead to alternate narrative conclusions and character outcomes. This branching structure gives the experience a sense of flexibility, rewarding players who explore various dialogue paths and relationship combinations. Despite its strengths, the game’s scope and systems reflect its indie origins. Combat can feel repetitive over time, and exploration areas are relatively straightforward. The emphasis on adult content may overshadow other narrative elements for some players, and those seeking deep mechanical complexity or grand-scale world-building may find the experience limited. However, for its intended audience, the integration of mature themes with fantasy adventure provides a distinct and cohesive identity. Ultimately, HOROS – monster slayer and lover of many stands as a niche but confident hybrid of RPG and adult visual novel. It combines a straightforward dungeon-crawling framework with branching romantic storytelling, delivering an experience driven more by character interaction than by intricate combat systems. Its appeal lies in the balance between fantasy adventure and explicit relational drama, offering a personalized journey shaped by player choice. For players interested in mature narrative exploration set against a backdrop of monsters and magic, it delivers a focused and unapologetic take on character-driven fantasy storytelling. Rating: 7/10
Spolszczenie tej gry jest zrobione fatalnie! Brakuje wiele opcji dialogowych, a tłumaczenie innych jest przeplatane z językiem angielskim.
This one drew me in, it has to be said I enjoyed the various questlines and stories of the various women and finding out how to add people to your team for the end fight against the boss, the plot and story was good but I wasn't a major fan of the amnesia arc but I get it was necessary to be a big reveal at the end - I just thought it could've been handled a lot better. Also the RNG Fights could use a lot of revision and work, finding that dragon took me a good chunk of my playtime going back and forth, back and forth, back and forth - I did it more than the MC's Shaft I think... So frustratingly difficult to find. THE DLC was fun though, that was very welcomed, the new plot and ending criterion were varied enough to justify its price tag. Well worth a playthrough! Plus there's like 14 endings at this point.
Wow this game is such an eye candy! You do have some kind of 1rst person RPG with turn based combat and quest. It is limited but pleasant to play, and combat benefits as well of the graphic enhancements even tho the effects stay basic. The H-scenes are amazing, girls are stunning and the only question is "should i encourage the (obvious) use of AI this way?". But it is only a rhetorical one since the results are beyond anything else. Ofc it isnt flawless, you do have incoherences between views, some odd positioning of characters with environment. Quality can be a bit uneven, the MC never seems to have quite the same face and sometimes it looks like he has black spikes for hair on the arms, but it is still worth it. I give it a 9/10 because despite being relatively simple it really nails it like nothing else.
