Bon petit jeu à l'ancienne...C'est plutot géniale meme !

Good fun. Has all the great elements from classics like Raid on Bungeling Bay, Choplifter and Virus. Love it.

Hornet Virus: Steel Alcimus II, developed by Hijong Park and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, is a retro-styled helicopter shooter that commits fully to an arcade philosophy, prioritizing immediacy, replayability, and mechanical simplicity over modern complexity. It places players in control of a combat helicopter tasked with completing a variety of missions, ranging from eliminating enemy forces to rescuing hostages and securing objectives across compact, mission-based environments. From the outset, the game makes it clear that it is less interested in cinematic storytelling or realism and more focused on delivering a straightforward, skill-driven experience. The gameplay is built around tight, repeatable missions that emphasize control, positioning, and efficiency. Players must navigate confined spaces while managing their weapons and movement carefully, often under constant pressure from enemy units. The controls are intentionally simple, making it easy to pick up and understand the basics, but mastering them requires precision and patience. As missions progress, the challenge increases not through added complexity, but through tighter margins for error and more demanding scenarios. This creates a gameplay loop that rewards repetition and improvement, encouraging players to refine their approach and aim for better performance with each attempt. One of the defining characteristics of Hornet Virus: Steel Alcimus II is its strong adherence to classic design principles. The game does not attempt to modernize its core mechanics in significant ways, instead embracing a style reminiscent of early 3D arcade shooters. This is reflected not only in its gameplay but also in its visual presentation. The low-poly environments and straightforward visual design prioritize clarity and readability, ensuring that players can quickly identify threats and objectives. While this approach may feel dated to some, it aligns well with the game’s overall identity and reinforces its retro appeal. The pacing of the game is well-suited to short, focused play sessions. Missions are concise and designed to be replayed, making it ideal for players who enjoy quick bursts of gameplay rather than extended campaigns. This structure supports the game’s emphasis on score-chasing and incremental improvement, as players are encouraged to revisit missions to achieve higher efficiency or better results. However, this same design can also lead to a sense of repetition over time, as the core mechanics and objectives remain largely consistent throughout the experience. While the game offers some variety through different helicopters and weapon options, these additions do not significantly alter the overall gameplay loop. The experience remains centered on the same core actions, which can limit its long-term depth. Players looking for evolving mechanics or a broader range of gameplay systems may find the experience somewhat limited, especially after extended play. The lack of a strong narrative or progression system further reinforces the game’s focus on pure gameplay, which may not appeal to those seeking a more immersive or story-driven experience. Despite these limitations, Hornet Virus: Steel Alcimus II succeeds in delivering a focused and coherent experience that stays true to its design goals. Its simplicity is both its strength and its constraint, offering an accessible entry point for players while also challenging them to develop skill and precision. The game does not attempt to be more than it is, and in doing so, it maintains a clear identity that resonates with fans of classic arcade shooters. Ultimately, Hornet Virus: Steel Alcimus II is a niche but well-executed title that thrives on its commitment to retro design and skill-based gameplay. It provides a satisfying experience for players who enjoy refining their performance and engaging with straightforward, action-oriented challenges. While it may not offer the depth or variety of more modern titles, it stands as a solid example of how classic gameplay principles can still deliver engaging results when executed with focus and clarity. Very good game, has a learning curve, but fun to play and graphic design is great to look like. It reminds me of Simcopter.
재밌음. 근대 연습게임 어케 해야 끝나는 건가요? 본게임에 못들어가고 있음. 콘트롤러인데 메뉴셀렉터 간다음에 선택하는 키가 없는 거 같은데요.
Cool indie chopper game, i love it.
