Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 26 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Such a good story and unique rts gameplay
Mi primer juego de estrategia espacial en 3D fue el homeworld cataclysm para la play 1, desde entonces estos juegos se han convertido en uno de mis juegos preferidos de estrategia futurista. Recomendadisimo si te va la estrategia y las naves

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The game took a while to get used to, but once I got the hang of moving around in 3D space the campaign has been very enjoyable.
In all honest review. [THE PROS] (GAMEPLAY) Its a pretty good RTS game if only a little slow even compared to your tradition RTS. The game gives you enough freedom to do as you please with your ships and the gameplay map is big enough for a variety of strategies. (CONTROLS) The controls are intuitive enough and are easy enough to learn. It's smooth, responsive and overall nice to play. (VISUALS & AUDIO) The Visuals and sound design aren't something to boast about but is well done enough to immerse yourself in a space battle. (STORY) As for the story, its okay, I suppose. The concept of the lore is very basic, but its so basic that, I find it hard to care for any of them. On the other hand, the Voice acting is supreme. Whoever did the voice acting for both games were amazing. You can feel the emotion from them; the voice cracks, the pitch...uh masterclass. [THE CONS] (Pacing) Its really slow, as I've said, slower than your traditional RTS. The gameplay map is both its strength and its weakness. Although the map is big enough for tactics variety, the ships are also slow enough that traveling from point A to point B takes 10 IRL minutes. I kid you not, ship travel in this game is a slog. [The Learning Curve] Much like most RTS, the learning curve is insane. Learning how to make your troops move the way you want it is already half the battle. Much less actually coordinating your fleets. (Ship Variety) A big disappointment on the ship variety. There's only 4 main factions (Higarran, Vagyr, Taiidyan, and Kushan) with Taidyan and Kushan being a lesser faction of both Higarran and Vagyr respectively. There's only a handful of ships so, there's not much fun in ship variety. (performance) It stutters something fierce when there's too many ships on the screen, even with the Unit cap. This performance tank is something unexpected from a game this old. This makes it hard to play 4 player deathmatch since there'd be over what 4000 ships on the screen? *OVERALL* Would definitely recommend when asked about but wouldn't actively endorse. Its pretty good, but when you compare it to other RTS in the market, oof. Just buy those. or buy this during a sale. I think I paid less than a dollar for this one.
I've been a fan of these games since the original games were out. These space based games are great - they make you think strategically. What ships to build, getting resources, etx.
very well designed game and such fun to play
The two Homeworld games are 3D-based space RTSs. This means that instead of moving on a 2D plane, players’ units can move on all axes, so in full 3D. These remasters gave new life to these 20-year-old titles, while also containing the files of the original games for preservation purposes. Homeworld may not have all the shortcuts, keybinds, and features of modern RTSs (e.g. StarCraft 2), and they are much easier to play with a mouse. The 3D movement can be a bit hard to grasp at the start, as directing a unit through 3D space on a 2D screen may not feel very intuitive, despite the game’s controls actually being really good for the time. Also, the units are all well balanced and each ship class has at least another class as its counter, so deathstacks of one type of ship are not a really a viable solution if you don’t want to lose half your fleet in 5 minutes. Talking about the story, it’s really good. While playing the first title I could feel the weight of responsibility to protect the Mothership. The second has a more linear story, but it’s well-narrated, much like a classic RTS campaign. The OSTs are really good, but the English voice acting is a war crime that puts anything ever done by the Taiidan Empire to shame and it can sometimes ruin the vibe that the narration is trying to set. In conclusion, these games were revolutionary at the time, and these remasters are a great opportunity to experience them in a much more modern shape, even if the gameplay might feel a bit clunky by today’s standards.
