Experienced on the Meta Quest 2 & 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/KgruPpt0nv0 I would not pay full price for this game ($24.99 USD). However, in the current Steam Winter Sale at 60% off ($10 USD), this is an easy recommend for anyone looking for a chill, cozy game. This game is a VR port of a mobile game, so keep your expectations in check. If you're just looking for simple gameplay that is easy and relaxing, then this may be for you. The game has a nice, linear progression. You start off in London and just renovate all the houses. Once you're done, you'll have enough money to unlock the next city (Dubai). Each house you renovate will have variations of mini-game like "home restoration." You'll have this game where you swing a blade around and it'll act like a lawnmower. Or you'll mortar the bricks together. Or you'll fix the hole in the wall by plastering it then coloring the wall with different tools available. You'll also add home furnishings to make either the cheapo house of your dreams or the luxury house of your dreams. The choices are limited, but it keeps the game feeling cozy throughout. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 90 fps, but I did notice some frame rate drops / stutters at time, especially in the hub area. The only serious bug I encountered (I think) is that I couldn't change the colors of the bought decorations. You do have full locomotion, along with snap turning. I recommend turning off the blinder in settings. You can play comfortably seated. I didn't think I would like this game at all, especially after the first few houses. But the more I played this game, the more I was enjoying it because the game introduced new things to do as you progressed. I hope that is the case for all the cities. [b]Sale Price Rating 6/10. Basically this is a VR port of the mobile game and you can tell. Before I bought this game I played the mobile verison which was free and its alright but of course for the price you can't complain about it. But this game is $25 bucks and there are so many limitations for the VR player that it gets boring very quickly. Whenever you have to do a task it teleports you to the location of the task even though you were just there and you are stuck there until you finish the task which just doesn't make sense for a VR game, plus there is barely any movement. I wanted it more like house flipper VR which wasn't that great also but at least i didn't get bored after doing one house. I don't know how much content is in this game but there is no way it will fit the price of this game. Honestly if this game was $10 to $15 bucks or around that range not only people would buy it, but it will be a better experience knowing you didn't spend $25 bucks for this game.
I love the game it's fun to play, the current issue is that I'm having trouble changing colors of the items other than that it's a great game! I recommend it if u like house flipper it has a bit more interaction with some of the other stuff. I won a free copy but I am not being paid to leave a good review. I am giving my honest opinion, my wife also loves the game she finds it fun. My honest opinion is the few bugs that are there need to be fixed once that is done it will be great maybe even get some expansion packs for it
