Holopoint is pure archery madness. Fight your way through waves of responsive targets, samurai, and highly dangerous ninjas - all while drawing, nocking, and shooting your arrows as quickly as possible.

Still one of the best VR games out there!
My favorite part of when I choose something to do is when you wait and do nothing.

Do you want to wreck your body? This is the game for you
Love it for the intense physical exercise
Shovelware from the 2016 VR madness . Would be a minigame if it wasn't VR.
If you prefer a video format, check it out here. Otherwise, continue reading to see my review. https://youtu.be/nC7J8STNraU The Good Stuff Holopoint is simple... you're standing in the middle of a room with a bow and arrows and you shoot samurai warriors before they reach you, or shoot cubes and dodge incoming projectiles. Shooting the bow feels great, and it's on-par with games like Elven Assassin or The Lab in terms of how good it feels to shoot the bow, and this is a good thing. Game Aspects The main objective in Holopoint is to shoot through waves of samurai warriors, or cubes which shoot projectiles at you, and get as far as you can, while exercising without ever noticing... unless you snap your back like I did and nearly pinch a nerve... Holopoint is a really good workout, which has you twisting and turning around to quickly shoot enemies trying to flank you. You're also dodging projectiles in the middle of all of this, and you must have pretty good reflexes to do all of this. Just be careful with this one if you're a boomer like I am, because this game definitely taught me that I am not as agile as I once was... That being said, if you want to tone it down to meet your skillset, you can do this in their menu system which allows you to input the amount of enemies you wish you fight, to meet your skill level. Oh, and there's also a leaderboard to keep track of your score, and you can compete with friends here. The Bad Stuff As with Space Pirate Trainer which I reviewed just before this, Holopoint doesn't carry many flaws. It's a well crafted game which gives you exactly what it promises. With this in mind, it doesn't offer anything else, which means there isn't much to this game. It's simple, and that's not necessarily a bad thing, but just know that there is a single map to shoot in, and you only can only choose from 2 enemy types, and the cubes. Is It Worth It? Holopoint is fantastic if you want to add an extra game to your library for fitness. It's even better if you enjoy archery games, because it feels good to shoot arrows in this game. That being said, Holopoint feels... hollow... There isn't any co-op or versus multiplayer modes, and there's only a single map to play in. It's a very basic game, but it does offer the great benefits of getting your heart pumping and your body moving. If you're wanting a more in-depth but relaxed archery game which has co-op multiplayer and more environments to shoot in, then I'd recommend Elven Assassin. Look out for my review on this soon!
Fun little workout game. In 2020 it is now a bit dated - not a lot of variety to gameplay. Still worth picking it up on sale.
Poor graphics, Poor sound, Poor Mechanics..This does not live up to the good reviews. Back to my long time workout games Thrill of Fight and BoxVR instead.. Refunded
This is hard and you can get a good workout in playing this. I am not as fast as I use to be but my little brother played it and helped me pass it. If you like hard games and or a just the workout this is not bad. I would rate this a 3 out of 5.
