Wow. This game is incredibly detailed, it drops you directly into immersion straight from the menu. Controls are incredibly intuitive, it genuinely feels like your drawing arrows and is uniquely satisfying. (I feel like Green Arrow) The immersion is great, Surroundings seem natural and lifelike and the music is perfect for this style of game. The game itself runs flawlessly. Your character is equipped with a bow and arrow and special abilities that help deal with larger waves. The waves of monsters you fight increase at a steady difficulty making the experience challenging but immensely satisfying. This is definately one of the best VR titles I have played as of yet.
Very simple archery wave shooter, but it looks absolutely fantastic! Enemes appear within a 180 degree field and each type has a different attack pattern. Very well paced and fun. The aim feels accurate, but the arrows fly in an unsatisfying 'tail over head' way. I also occasionally hit a glitch where if I fired too quickly the arrow would be positioned beyond my hand and I had to pause the game to fix it.
With its theme derived from the Tibetan Book of the Dead, Bardo is a standout among VR archery games. While the gameplay is very straightforward, no-frills VR archery wave shooting, its setting is beautiful and very atmospheric. The Tibetan monastery is beautifully rendered, the effects are excellent, and you'll get some fast-paced exercise as you play, The game is easy to learn and can be played either standing or sitting with good results, a rare versatility in VR archery gameplay. But for me, having been an archer in real life for more years than I'd care to admit, the best feature is the believable bow mechanics. When you're shooting, the arrows behave as you would expect them to behave if you were firing a real flat bow. You can instinct shoot as you would in real life, and if you establish an anchor point, you'll get consistent results. The bow is neither a sniper rifle, as you'll find in some VR archery titles, nor does it feel like you're firing cooked spaghetti instead of arrows, as you'll find in others. I suspect that the developers have actually used a bow in real life. They got the feel very right. I have had no issues at all, playing with an Oculus CV1 and touch controllers. The game is very polished. The developers communicate with the community frequently. All-in-all, if you enjoy VR archery (personally, I own just about every title available), then you definitely want to own Bardo. For bow mechanics, it may be the best title on the market. And it's just a pleasure to play and to view in VR. I highly recommend this title. And at its current, Early Access price, I'd say that it's a "must have" title for the VR archery enthusiast. You can't go wrong with this one if you're an archery lover.
If your looking for a cool archery game to hone your skills look no further.... Not so easy to get to the end been practicing, seen an improvement in my aim in skyrim xD Graphics were set to medium when i went in so upped the quality and looks realy good, great atmosphere, and tracking is spot on. Only down side I have is my arms getting tired, but I suppose thats a me problem haha
One of the Best VR shooting games i have played! Definitely recommend this title The aiming is spot on and the enemies are different in a way thats refreshing not just the same old thing everyone else is using, and very well animated too the difficulty level is great really keeps you on your toes! overall a perfect game for the VR if you have one this is a must have! i cant wait to see what else is done with this, its in early access and its already better or on par with what id expect from AAA titles

The price is a bargain right now so definitely a great pick up if you like archery games. BARDO sort of reminds of a bow and arrow version of Space Pirate Trainer. Things ramp up and get pretty busy in the later levels so you need to keep up with it's high pace to progress. I'm impressed, BARDO is a high quality game without a doubt even in it's early access state, I'm looking forward to see how this game develops further. BARDO is a great example of a non-fitness game that is high on activity to naturally burn those excess calories away.
Experienced on the Oculus RIft with Touch Controllers
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/mzBBIpDEP2I I was really looking forward to playing this game after reading all the positive reviews. Plus, it just looks beautiful from the store page video. And, in fact, it is a gorgeous game. The Eastern theme is well done and the gameplay is smooth. Even the UI is super well thought out. However, the core gameplay is just dull. It's really just a beautiful-looking 180 bow & arrow wave shooter with not much variety. It also has a very noticeable arrow drop. So you probably need to spend some time in the game just to get used to that. To make things more frustrating, enemies move in a herky-jerky fashion. They move slow for a second or two, then they move rapidly in a random direction. For whatever reason, usually it takes more than one shot to kill an enemy, especially if they are at a distance. You get several enemies on screen and you know what type of game this is. You get a checkpoint on every 5th wave. I got all the way to the 15th wave, but was unable to beat it so I got brought back down to the 10th wave on retry. You have this force push ability when enemies get too close. I only saw a few different variety of enemies. There is a boss fight at the end though. There are graphics & sound options. I experienced zero issues. I'm not sure why this game has been in Early Access as it doesn't seem to be getting updates in any event. Rate 4.5/10. Sale Price Rating 5.5 ($3.99 USD or lower). I just couldn't play this game longer than 30 minutes. There's just so many better bow & arrow games in VR to play. Oh well, I only lost out on $4 bucks.
Straightforward wave based shooter with an Asian twist. I don't like the drop of the arrows but it does make some sense for a simple bow without a lot of pull to it (please give us a more powerful bow or weapons upgrades). Note, I have played once so far but enough to know I am keeping the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yWklmIcxSs
This game has one of the most beatifully designed and functional bows I've experienced in VR.
Stand in one place and defend your life! Lots of enemies will charge you at once, make sure your shots count! Intense and challenging gameplay! Fun to challenge your friends! A gem of a VR bow game! https://youtu.be/Lvtq_nXAeOw
