A spiritual successor to the Mount and Blade Napoleonic War mod, very fun especially with buddies.
Absolute great game, 150 player lobbies, and the community is sooo funny, from role players to straight up toxic MFs haha

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

for any asians out there, this game basically has no public asian server which is probably expected due to the low asian playercount most servers are european or american, sometimes australian during mjor updates (110 ping) and since im a SEA i play with 180-250 ping, this will throw you off very badly when youre new to the game, your melee is slower and your bullet is delayed just a little bit and you might have to aim ahead of your enemy sometimes, its a bit weird despite that, youll get used to it and realize maybe its not that bad so its still a pretty good game despite the lag, theres always at the very least 2 officers larping/roleplaying which is what makes this so fun for a casual and there are always at the very least 2-3 servers alive when major update's hype dies down, you can be really good at the melee despite the horrendous ping but you won't be swinging as fast as europeans/americans gameplay is fun if youre a casual and are just there to experience the chaos (alot of people scream especially during major updates), easy to learn but hard to master, age of sail is boring compared to nations at war/american revolution or frontlines (WW1) since you mostly just reload cannons 90% of the time holding E
My first game. Battle rages in the distance. Find two Brits pushing a field gun. Theyre talking about their favourite types of tea which leads to talk of biscuits. I decide to walk with them and get a feel for the game. Cannon gets stuck in the middle of a bridge. Im out in front now. I see cavalry. I turn back to warn them. An enemy snuck up behind them on the bridge and fires then charges! one guys dead the other is down. I fire and kill the guy. My guy gets back up as the guy on horseback charges the cannon on the bridge. He didnt make it. My new buddy and i hold the bridge with the stuck cannon. For the rest of the game and slaughter droves while taking heavy fire. Finish the game with a sliver of health. I cheer “we made it! We didnt die!” He goes “Bloody Colonials”. Best first round ive ever played starting an entirely new game. 10/10
its fun for the first few hours with friends but under the hood its really terrible. the bad reviews about how bad melee is are not true. its worse than they describe. how it can be so terrible idk. furthermore the player base vote the same 4 maps over and over. each map its won by a specific faction every single time. the game plays out the exact same on every single map. the outcome is entirely predictable. and there's no form of a line battle what so ever. its completely mis marketed in that regard, its a melee skirmish with occasional musket fire. even the dev run line battle events are a joke. everyone to afraid to die. no one actually marches in a line at one another. everyone ducks behind what ever cover they can find.
Janky mechanics, inconsistent hit box melee. Long vs short range doesn't matter. It's infuriating, unless you're drunk playing and talking ♥♥♥♥, other than that, it's worthless.
This game is great sunk 800 hours into it supported the devs by buying every dlc and continue to play even though THEY HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THE ADMIN AND MODERATERS 1st they don’t give you any official warning or anything even if your just having a good time by raising the team moral by blasting some marching music through your mic (just like they advertise in they’re official trailers) but somehow these volunteers admins and mods feel the need to just permanently mute players trying to have fun with others for no apparent reason or without warning 2nd when you go to make a appeal they act all high and mighty and aren’t friendly people at all, it’s a game and most of us usually have a fun time blasting “Scotland the brave, Ericka German marching song etc” and get permanently muted but they don’t or won’t go after the people in game who or talking offensive or being straight up racist (even when the admin is in the match and can full on hear it) they make it a huge deal to get a appeal and ask questions like “what servers what admin banned you” yet you are provided with no information on when the banned occurred. Discord admins and mods are killing the game for others get off your high horse and start actually doing your jobs instant perma banning isn’t the solution
I had my share of fun for the first few months, but over time it has become unbereable to play. First and foremost. The combat system. Muskets are a joke. These weapons have a big RNG mechanic affecting their accuracy. You will miss consistently from 10-20+ meters even with other teammates buffing you and crouching. For comparation a XIX musket will be accurate up to 50 meters. These being the majority of the firearms available in the game makes it specially painful to deal with, and the reason why players intermediately fill out the slots of Hussars, Sharpshooters and Carpenters, they are the best classes by far. Next is the horrendous melee system. The melee is utterly broken, relaying on exploiting the game netcode to hit player where they really are in the real present unlike his character. Basicaly, you kill ghosts, and you will be killed in the most weird ways due to that. The last is the community. You can have good officers and decent teamwork thanks to the voice chat, but most of the time you will get micspammers overshadowing every other person in its proximity. You can go out of your way and mute them but the crude reality is that most of the time other officers or players in general will not communicate, rather the will insult each other in the chat. The games feel borderline abandoned, even with the recent major update of the american revolution. I can understand that is difficult to moderate a community, but the combat being this bad after 6 years is unforgivable
