I've completed Hogwarts Legacy and I have a lot to say. If you love Harry Potter and this universe, then you will definitely like this game. The story is quite interesting, but some of the challenges were quite boring. The problems I encountered were crashes, bugs and lags. The optimization of this game is very poor even at the moment; on powerful systems that exceed the recommended system requirements in Hogwarts castle, FPS can decrease to 20 frames, or even lower. Basically all the problems in this game are due to the engine.

In the first hours, I almost uninstalled this game because it felt so PG13 and boring. I'm glad I gave it a chance. The combat, which seemed kinda lame at first, ended up being fun as I learned new spells. And even though it very much is a PG13 game where nothing really dark ever happens (your choices really don't matter), the main character is actually quite a sinister dude. By the end of the game, I'm dressed like a slave-owning southern aristocrat who owns multiple house elves (deek and penny), who ruthlessly kidnaps magical beasts and exploits them for profit, all while maintaining the airs of a self-righteous do-gooder who loves animals and "rescues" them from evil poachers (only to exploit them and sell off their offspring after breeding them in my factory farm). On top of all that, I learnt all of the forbidden spells, helped my friends cover up murdering their own family, and in the end, I straight up took all the power for myself. None of this of course actually changes the story or how the characters in this world interacts with you, but they could have made this game REAAALLLY dark if they wanted to. I feel like that's a missed opportunity. My main character is a seriously sinister dude with an impeccable sense of fashion. He deserves a remake of this game where you graduate and can choose to become a full-blown dark wizard.
